BSGcast 3.14 – “A Day in the Life”
Sorry it’s a bit late this week… but we went to Miami for Nat’s birthday, and also wound up meeting up with a fellow BSGcast comment contributor, DJ Brazen, while we were there!
So this week we have quite a bit to say about this Adama-centric episode that continues the recent pattern of stand-alone episodes. From the dysfunctional relationships of the Adamas and the Tyrols, to the sexual tension of The President and the Admiral, the episode does a better job of asking questions than answering them.
This week’s Fan of the Week, is Amanda, a major comment contributor both here and on myspace, go say hi on her personal myspace account, she’s got some great theories on the show!
Hope you enjoy the BSGcast this week, and we can’t wait to get started on next week’s!

Hi!
Ever since I found out about BSG Cast via YouTube, I’ve been watching, seeing what you’ve got to say about the show (which is usually quite similar to my own thoughts actually)..
Regarding the whole ‘Is Adama a Cylon’ business and ‘Is he projecting’: somewhere early on in the extended Ron Moore podcast (which is quite difficult to listen to since it’s basically just a recorded editing session), Ron Moore indicated that he wanted to make sure that it was clear Adama wasn’t having the same experiences as Baltar and Head-Six..
Unfortunately that didn’t seem to come across that well, since many people were also confused. (For some reason I just assumed it was his imagination and not a Head-Carolanne). I guess they use these little moments to make the fans wonder about who the Final Five might be..
Anyway, like you, I too look forward to the upcoming episode and I agree: they could’ve easily ended ‘A Day in the Life’ with a slightly rebellious Chief talking to Seelix about how dangerous Galactica is and how it all has to stop, which would’ve been a nice little cliffhanger and tie-in to the next episode..
Looking forward to more!

Great show you two I will certainly be back next week. Your comments were insightful and not fanboy/girlish. One thing about the hull patch used in the episode. On modern submarines there are two types of hull patch and repair kits. The “soft” one contains things like wood plugs, rope and twine that has a tar coating. These kits are placed in D.C.(damage control) lockers throughout the boat and would be used in the case of a small breach to make very fast and temporary repairs. So the soft patch used in the episode is not that much of a reach. Granted being underwater is not the same as space but we did tend to have very similar concerns. Like violent implosion.

What boards are you looking for, M? A lot of chatter happens here on the comment space of BSGcast.com, but the BSGcast myspace a great spot too. Most of the Fans of the Week so far are on there all the time discussing the show.
Thanks for watching, m!
