BSGcast: 4.11 “The Hub”
For this week’s BSGcast, we find ourselves in Houston, Texas, away from the usual studio and bringing you a special BSGcast from the comfort of the hotel room as we chat about how “the Hub” managed to make the lines between Human and Cylon even more blurred. After a week of fretting over the fate of Baltar and Roslin, we’re getting to see the flip-side of last week’s episode… the battle of the Resurrection Hub was glorious, but the character beats in “The Hub” were definitely the highlight. Both of us were in tears for the last scene.
What about you? Leave your comments for the second last chance at the Alienware Ozma-7 headphones!

Counting the minutes till BSG tonight! Fridays are alwasy exciting. Chips and queso with BSG, awesome combo!
I was remembering something from the fall. This past November I went to the BSG convention in Burbank and asked Jamie Bamber a question. I had said that Lee is known to either damage or destroy symbolic ships, ie. his fathers original viper in the mini series, the Blackbird, and the Pegasus. I had asked him if there was anything in store for his record this season, should we be worried for the Galactica. He didn’t really answer. He said something like how Lee is an extreme character and all. When I saw that he was the new interim president I was like NOOO, not Colonial One. I swear, by season’s end he is going to ram Colonial One into a Basestar or something.
June 6th, 2008 at 8:23 am
I, too, am counting the hours until BSG! Gives me something to look forward too on Friday nights now that I’m a married woman! ^_^
I personally, am hoping like crazy that the last Cylon is NOT Roselin. I have to agree that it will probably be female, but Roselin would be…I don’t know, a little odd. Although it would be kinda cool to see that the person who helped protect the fleet from the Cylons was a Cylon, but I think I’ve had more of that plot line than I can chew in one sitting.
It will be awesome to see D’anna again, I loved her character before and was a bit ticked that she got boxed. I also hope that just MAYBE Natalie will have somehow been downloaded and will live. This is a selfish hope based solely on my love for the character, but at least I’m honest. Last but not least, killing important people off is one of the things I like MOST about this show. It’s so much less predictable than the usual fare. You just never know if someone major will die. Every time a major character has gone down, I have never known if they will come back or not. I love not knowing. ^_^
Now on to “The Hub”
June 6th, 2008 at 9:27 am
I too hope Natalie died within ressurection range. She was my favorite Significant Seven cylon besides Cavil.
Oh, and you can bet your bottom dollar they are not going to reveal the Final Cylon this early in Season 4, let alone in a promo video. So it’s not Roslin. I bet she’s talking to Anders, he’d be among the Viper pilots for the mission.
I think the next two eps will be off-the-chart awesome though…I just have a feeling…like “Pegasus” cliff-hanger awesome as they did for the Season 2 mid-season cliff hanger.
June 6th, 2008 at 10:50 am
Yah know it’s funny how many people got attached to Natalie so quickly. I guess I must have missed something somewhere, as I feel there wasn’t enough time build of her character enough to be a favorite. I do hope she is alive for that reason though.
I also thought they got rid of D’anna just as her character was getting annoying, though the preview shows he coming back with some serious anger issues, which will be SWEET. The next episode should be a home run and remove any bad taste left by last weeks show.
Oh and I do hope the final cylon is Roslin, thought she was a cylon since the start, I just hope they aren’t revealing her yet. Guess we will see soon…

Awesome story JJ!!! Frack, I wonder if Lee is going to buy it in the end.

I am so happy number three is coming back and in the preview when she broke number one’s neck I wanted scream
IT’S XENA BITCH!!!! *lol*
June 6th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
I have to admit. I had a tiny orgasm when she did that whole Xena neck snap… Hell yeah! Xena is back Woot woot!!! Uh i mean #3…
June 6th, 2008 at 3:46 pm
One word…. WOW.
need to watch that again.

The Ultimate Cylon Detector:
I have long wondered (this has probably already been dealt with, though) why, and how, the Ultimate Cylon Detector has evaded the humans, especially the Aerelon Artiste d’Amour, Gaius: the coital, glowing-red spine. From the male, um… perspective, this oversight seems near impossible, especially given their very open attitudes toward sex. Group whoopee (Gaius), center-ring whoopee (Gaius) and Wilt Chamberlain-numbers whoopee (Gaius again) all provide excellent chances to discover this anomaly. Maybe Gaius has discovered this and heroically decided to atone for his sins and save the fleet by personally checking every female’s red-light potential.
Others have also had chances to discover this. This is a plot hole that needs to be filled. Think of it. There would be no shortage of volunteers and screening could be completed in record time (at least for the females, as far as we know). Should humans and cylons ever come to live together it could give rise to a new meaning for red-light district.
I have enjoyed the show and this forum very much. Thanks for the work in putting it together and letting us share.

How can anyone be so gullible to believe that RDM would actually ID the last Cylon during “Hub”, and hint at in an episode preview. Come on. If you actually thought that was going to happen, you need to be spaced – not by Roslin. By Tori – I want to be spaced by her.
This episode keeps reminding me of the Family Guy episode where Stewie finally kills Lois. Then at the end it is revealed that it never really happened. It was just a computer simulation. Then Brian and Stewie remove the “Third wall”, by talking about how it would be “A giant middle finger” to the fans when they realized it didnt happen.
I knew Roslin wasnt going to kill Baltar for the same reason. Why she didnt let him die was important.
It was a preview people. SciFi just wanted us to watch. Be wary of RDM or SciFi shenanigans in the future.
I did like the look on Roslins face though when D’anna told her though.
June 6th, 2008 at 4:07 pm
That was funny when #3 told Roslin that she was one of the final five and then I #3 laughed. It was like she said PSYCHE!!!! *lol* I also really liked it when Roslin told Bill that she loved him and he said “about time!” aw… so good….
Another funny Roslin line was she she told Helio, “You are not married to the entire production line!!”
So many good Roslin quotes for my facebook
oh yeah did I mention: IT’S XENA BITCH!!!! snap #1 neck *lol*
I wonder what happened to Boomer though?

How about this for another Baltar/Jesus image connection?: The injury Baltar sustains is to his left below his rib. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t that where Jesus was stabbed by the spear?
June 6th, 2008 at 5:38 pm
Wow, that was BSG firing on all cylinders. Best episode this season by far, ah still got the adrenaline going just from watching it. I knew they wouldn’t reveal the final cylon but I still think its Roslin.
Oh and how about Baltar nearly dieing, not only in a crucifixion-like pose, but with his side pierced. And confessing his sins to Roslin, something she has wanted for a long time.
It was also nice to see Roslin finally acting human (something she hasn’t done in a while).
And Finally the Roslin/Adama moment. Pretty cool, Han Solo/Leia moment, but kinda had a copyright infringement feel. Though a sobbing boohoo would have not been Adama at all, so oh well.
FINALLY AN EPISODE WORTHY OF THE NAME BATTLESTAR GALACTICA!!!
June 6th, 2008 at 5:38 pm
Almost forgot: Another guest appearance of the Orion constellation can be seen after the Rebel Basestar jumps back, can be seen from Adama’s POV for a brief moment when he moves up to the Pilot seat and looking out the front screen.
June 6th, 2008 at 5:51 pm
So Baltar Told The Centurion About God and Slavery.
So here’s my crazy Idea, Cavil Seemed unimpressed by the attack, Well once the Hub is gone the resurrection ships become useless, and That was THE Brother Cavil(asumed due to Sharons presence), So I think Cavil had a Resurrection Ship placed out side of the battle.
Now If the Ships Download and the 7 download clearly the Centurions do to.
Now I’d assume that one, The Centurion Knew the battle was gonna happen and that the Hub would not be a good place to download, So The program they use I would find the nearest ship to go to, Cavil’s Ship,I mean My wireless internet can find another server.
So now we have Centurions that know about God and Slavery.
The Badie cylons Just Got rebels on their ships in the form of Centurions?!?
Can’t wait for the next one!
Tigh doing his best bones, DAMNIT BILL I’M A CYLON, NOT A DOCTOR!
Well he didn’t say he was a doctor, Also I really hope that is not the end for Baltar.
I also Had another thought come up with Baltar talking of flood, The hole series Is The story of the ARK.
Adama Being Noah, The fleet is the Ark, They have every race on bord it seems.
And they are waiting for the tide to go away so they can find a new home.
Space is the water and Earth is Land.
June 6th, 2008 at 5:54 pm
Oh, thought of something. I know we’re probably all sick of conspiracy theories, but what if it’s Dee. Think about it, they’ve all been people who can sway the minds of the leaders of the fleet. Dee is now the first lady as well as Adama’s daughter-in-law. Plus I haven’t heard anyone suggest her.
June 6th, 2008 at 5:57 pm
Also, Helo Was the pimp this time!
June 6th, 2008 at 6:01 pm
Helo has been awesome, I think he is important, he made the first real leap of faith, he is the father of hera, the voice of reason, and looking might good as well.
June 6th, 2008 at 6:13 pm
Adama is Han Solo!
I love it! The only way a tough guy can say I love you without it sounding cheesy.
This was a great ep, even though we didn’t get anywhere on the opera house story line but i assume it will be revealed in the second half of the season. I definitely loved the “jump visions” that Laura was having; very surreal yet powerful. It seems more dead characters are alive yet still dead but living…if that makes sense? Of course having Roslin see and speak to Elosha would coincide with Baltar’s visions of Head Six if indeed Elosha is an angel just like Head Six claims to be to Baltar. And with Roslin’s vision on the ferry in the episode “Faith” and her joint mission w/ the rebel Cylons, she is going down the path to believing in the one true god, which I think will culminate when she dies which I think will happen before the show is over (remember Eddie Olmos said everyone dies!)
And speaking of dying, I thought Baltar was dead! That would’ve been a much bigger blow than his admission to Laura about his hand in the original attacks on the colonies. I still can’t believe he admitted that! But I guess that was okay since Head Six wasn’t there to stop him.
I was also impressed w/ Grace Park playing a totally different 8 character. I was totally convinced that was another character, not Boomer (on the Hub) or Athena (on Galactica) and it worked really well with Helo. It was kind of creepy though that she accessed Athena’s memories, that would’ve been very uncomfortable if I were Helo. I do wonder if Boomer escaped off the Hub before it was nuked…
June 6th, 2008 at 6:18 pm
The new 8 seemed adolescent, very unformed, the 8’s are all so different, the “pet” 8, Athena the fierce warrior and defender of her child, Boomer so conflicted, good acting going on there.
June 6th, 2008 at 6:22 pm
I’ve had no reason to mention this till now, with Baltar’s speech about the attack being a second flood.
Matthew 3:11
“…he shall baptize you with the holy ghost, and with fire:”
So if you have the baptize my water (baptism)
And you’ve got baptism by fire (recieving holy ghost)
So to save humanity it had to receive both. And with Baltar being the Jesus figure, he would have never left science and reason if it wasn’t for the baptism by fire.
June 6th, 2008 at 6:23 pm
Three things to say for now:
Glad Pike is dead. I’m glad they were consistent with that and showed how he jumped back and all.
Kudos to those that predicted Helo would have some awkward times with all of these copies of his wife. I was wondering, there was some fake spoiler about Athena dying in SQN. What if she had died, and Helo had this new copy as Athena? I think that would have been an interesting turn. She has the same memories to a certain extent, minus the crazy visions. Helo is also a man whose story centers around morality, this would have been an ironic twist.
THANK YOU FOR FINALLY CALLING HER NATALIE. That was one little thing that has been bugging me, it was nice that we knew her name but to finally hear someone on screen say it just fixed that little pet peeve.
June 6th, 2008 at 7:21 pm
Well, the ep turned out to be as I expected, back to “BSG standard”. It gets a 4.5 out of 5 stars from me, like Faith did. Not the 5 out of 5 I gave Guess What’s Coming to Dinner, still my fav ep this season.
What I absolutely loved:
1)The Hybrid. My newest choice of candidate for Final Cylon. I just loved it when she shouted “JUMP”…it was great
Loved the Sixes and Eights in black body-fitting sexyness.
2) Roslin-Elosha scenes, the empty Galactica…very surreal and well done.
3) The humor is back! I LOVED Roslin and Baltar trying to talk to the Hybrid…it was SO hilarious.
4) D’anna is back and cooler than ever. I always liked her macho side, it’s gonna be REALLY interesting seeing her go face to face with Tori next week…two power hungry biaches.
5) My respect for the Eights just went up a zillion notches. I fell in love with the Eights in this episode, they seem so naive…so kind.
6) Baltar’s confession…his speech was amazing once again, really moving, and his chat with the Chrome job was classic! So hilarious.
7) Baltar’s near-death is certainly significant, and I think it’s setting us up for Revelations. And I always said it,a nd I will say it again, Baltar and Head Six are at the center of the entire BSG universe. They represent the big storyline. Any major event, like in Revelations, will be bound to have a lot to do with Baltar.
9) I do like how Roslin and Adama finally let their feelings be known…finally!
Probably a lot more I cant remember right now off the top of my head.
The reasons why this didnt get a 5 stars from me:
1) CG was pretty coold, but still disappointing. The Base Ships…and large ships in general, just look too bright this Season. They look a bit fake. And the Centurions dont look as good as in previous seasons either.
2) The space battle was disappointing. I mean here they are blowing up the most important piece of machinery to the Cylon civilization, and ONE half-beat base ship took it out…not cool.
I am still also hoping for Natalie’s return…
*gonna talk about Next week’s promo, so spoiler warning if you dont wanna watch it*
Next week’s promo was insane. The Final Four are revealed to everyone. Tigh tells Bill he’s a Cylon…to his face! Oh man.
Next episode looks like another “Tori kicks A$$” episdoe. She jumps ship and goes over to the Base Star, and then takes command and tells Rosin? that she doesnt take orders from them anymore…and to top it off, there is a scene where she is walking with 2 Centurions, chasing some humans off the Base Ship…oh my!
Not to mention the “miracle” Viper Mark 2 shows signs of changes, that should be interesting and Anders, Tyrol and Tigh are about to be air-locked! How DARE THEY! Lee and Dualla are the ones to almost push the button if it was not for Starbuck…and apparently the only thing that keeps them from air-locking them is taht they know give them the way to Earth…
last but not least, Roslin and Three stand on a planet…

This is my first post so I’m sorry if I sound stupid or say ideas that everyone has has already thought of.
Wow, that was an amazing episode. Great acting, great space battle and more Cavil and D’Anna! Woo!!
Elosha’s appearance made me super happy. The way she acted was really cool too. She was a lot more assertive than she was when she was alive since she had to show Roslin the path she needs to follow. I think that #3’s suggestion that the hybrids have seen the place between life and death may be referring to when they go FTL. Maybe they transport to some dimension or something between the real world and the realm of the dead. So if they are between those two places that could allow Elosha to communicate with Roslin. Or it could just be like what she said, her subconscious trying to tell her something.
I think that Cavil should be careful with Boomer (assuming they’re still alive). She seems to go with which ever side will probably win. Plus she looked really mad when he called her his ‘pet’. Cylons don’t seem to like being treated like pets or slaves. Which brings me to the Centurion that Baltar was talking to. Crazy idea but maybe God doesn’t want the Centurions to be free. I think that Baltar was risking both the Cylon and Humans lives by telling it about God and how he wants them to be free. After he tells them this, boom, there goes the Centurion and with no hub he’s probably gone forever along with the knowledge of God. Also, Baltar gets his ‘Jesus Wound’ from the explosion. I was actually suprised that Baltar admitted to giving the codes to #6. I was also amazed that Roslin forgave him.
I think that the experience with him, Elosha and Adama will make her a lot more human now.
The preview for the next episode looks great. I’m amazed that the four will be outed, but at the same time it makes for a great cliffhanger. Now what I’m trying to guess is what in the world will the last 10 episodes be about. If the four are known, and Starbuck is leading them to Earth, what’s left. I guess the last cylon and Earth itself. But there’s no way that could take 10 episodes. So I’m guessing that either some huge obstacles are gonna be in their way OR they will actually get to Earth by about midseason and then I have no idea what could happen from there. Guess we might get some idea next episode.
June 6th, 2008 at 7:50 pm
I would of loved if Baltar had a projection while bleeding to death. It seems like Head Six has always been by his side during his toughest moments. Imagine Baltar facing the River Styxx ( in the same manner Roslin had) and seening a group of Sixes waiting for him. I just think it could have given a further meaning to his relationship with the Sixes (which has been abandoned in my eyes) and lead to further speculation about whether or not he is a candidate for the final cylon. Other than that, great episode!!! and next week truly will brilliant.

Warning, Spoilers Ahoy! Stop reading if you don’t want to know!!!!!
Well, as this season goes another kick A$$ episode. So the whole Laura dream sequence where she is learning to be human and let herself feel was okay. It takes near death experiences to wake some people up. Stop shielding yourself girl, live! Helo did an amazing job of being conflicted with the duplicity of humanity. The cylons have been the ones showing good faith in their alliances with us and it is US, humanity that is lying and decieving. The parts with the hybrid and Baltar and Laura were overdone I think, the scene just lasted too long to me and didn’t reveal much information. Then Baltar starting the centurian rights movement speech and introducing them to religion, just in time for it to die and with no resurrection ship I guess he told it about God before it went. Since Cylons don’t come back anymore when they die all their knowledge goes with them. Even playing field people. I loved Lucy going Xena warrior princess on Cavell but I don’t think Boomer would have run after all she has been through. She’s stared down Adama, she’s a pretty tough cylon. The whole Baltar told Laura about his help destroying the colonies scene. It was a death bed confessional and all, but also out of Baltars character.I bet Matt was going crazy insane during the two minutes is looked like Baltar was dead! Then onto Deanna and her wonderful scene where she tells laura that she is one of the final five, the look was priceless, but the whole conversation after was to all of us fans as much as to Laura. She says that no way was it going to be given to us on a silver platter, it is going to cost Laura for that information and that she was a fool to think so. Just like we were with those stupid promos on Sci-Fi. We have to wait longer for the final cylon. And for all you sentimental people you get the reuniting of Laura and Bill and the confession of love to one another. Yippee!
I liked this episode a whole bunch more than the last, but there has been better this season. As for next week, Tigh telling Adama he’s a cylon is enough for me to watch. Also we get another clue as to the location of earth from the cylons and a new viper and the fleet splits as the cylons are revealed. Well, now if time would speed up then I might be able to sleep.
June 6th, 2008 at 9:33 pm
I just love the opening scene with Laura and Baltar in the hybrid’s chamber. Baltar says “Let gods will be done.” With Laura’s quick “Shut up.” Response. Awesome haha
Laura’s Visions
I think it’s very interesting that Laura had those vision flashes whenever the hybrid jumped. It also seemed that no time passed for the people around her during the jump. The jump technically is a flash of a second. Yet Laura experienced several minutes each time. Perhaps the ships jump through the space between life and death when they pass through subspace. And in that place her subconscious or her higher self or her spirit guide whatever, helped her to find the value of all life. That even Baltars life is valuable even if she deems him as evil. And she learned or is learning to open her heart, to Adama and those around her. It’s about time. Maybe that’s what Adama meant.
Then when Elosha talks about how frustrating it is to go towards their destination step by step. Totally reminded me of the hybrid quote in Torn. “Reduction occurs stepwise but the essence is all one.” It’s also a little curious that Laura now sees Galactica as her home, not colonial one. Perhaps it’s because home for her is a person not a place.
The Hybrid
The hybrid says 6 is back in the stream. I think that must have meant that she went to a resurrection ship. Back in the tub of fluid. Her consciousness back in the main 6 main frame so to speak. Or she could be speaking spiritually, that 6 is back in the space between life and death ready to reincarnate as opposed to resurrect. She also calls the humans the “Makers.”
I found it interesting that replacement Athena said that the hybrid makes her own choices and decisions yet in “Torn” when they are all arguing about whether or not to jump the infected base star, D’anna says “She doesn’t get a vote.” Then against the hybrids wishes she jumps away. Is that an inconsistency or does it mean that vote or not the hybrid does what she believes is right.
Mechanics of the Cylons
I was thinking that along with blood the Cylons have a network of Syllica pathways. That may be what all the fluid is that physically connects all the Cylons and allows them to share their memories. Like Akasha is for humans.
I loved the comment Laura makes to helo “Your not married to the entire production line.” LOL haha If they all can tap into Athena’s memories and feelings it’s almost like he is married to the whole line… almost haha However I remember Helo saying to Adama that Athena could resist the process of unwittingly giving up information automatically through the download process. Maybe she still did. She could have shared everything but the security details of Galactica.
I also noticed that replacement Athena was wearing a colonial uniform while all the other Cylons were wearing their own black Cylon uniform. Which brings up another thing. Why the hell to Cylons even have their own uniforms and why. And how the hell do they get into the raiders without gutting them… I think that might be a teeny weeny plot hole.
Baltar
I absolutely loved Baltar in this episode. Classic funny man, completely neurotic, insecure Baltar. It showed that even though Baltar has made a genuine change in his life. When he’s afraid he still resorts to unbelievably selfish measures to protect himself. When he was on the Basestar he suddenly realized he wasn’t surrounded by his heram and followers and felt a little afraid. Especially since he was with Laura, and we all know how frightened of Laura he is. It was like he realized that no one there was looking up to him or paying attention to him. So his survival instincts kick in like. I have to give them a reason not to kill me, a reason not to airlock me. I’ll be the new hybrid expert. That’ll save my ass. LOL It was classic Baltar which was funny at times but also made my heart go out to him. He still gets triggered by fear and resorts to his old survival methods. At least we know that even though he’s perfect… he’s still not perfect if that makes sense. When he realized that it wasn’t working. That Laura wasn’t buying his hybrid expertise he turns to a Centurian, to try and get it on his side. It was like he was trying to start shit. WTF!!! But I did notice that unlike usual, when Baltar was scared this time, head six didn’t show up. But when his fear subsided he went back into the compassionate fearless state again. Even though it was Morpha induced, his compassion was still able to come through. He then confesses to unwittingly and unknowingly helping the Cylons attack the colonies. He then compares it to the flood. Is he referring to the great flood on Earth? I think he is referring to a group of people leaving earth thousands of years ago to Kobol. Which means earth is the origin of humanity not Kobol. Which could begin to prove Matt’s theory about Humans creating machines that created machines that created machines etc… So that technically everyone is a Cylon except for the humans of earth.
Laura
But why is Laura so affected by what Baltar is saying about his guilt, and guilt in general. Is it because she is so angry about what he’s done, or is it because he’s reminding her of something she feels guilty about. What is her secret? She then methodically and creepily allows him to die by taking off the gauze. But when she realizes what she’s and tries to save him again, she very much reminded me of many images of Mary crying over Jesus.
On to D’anna.
I just gotta say I absolutely love what a smart ass she is. I haven’t seen that side of her before. I love it. She reminds me of evil Xena. I mean…uhhh Ok I’ll admit it Xena is my hero. Ok… so there!
Finally last but not least Laura tells bill she loves him… but wait! He didn’t say it back, and didn’t even kiss her on the lips. What’s that all about? But it was still sweet. I totally had tears at that moment.
June 7th, 2008 at 12:18 am
it’s been seen (in the Farm and Home pt.1) that heavy raiders can be manually flown, despite seeming to have a standard raider’s ‘brain’ next to its gun barbette, so having pilots would be useful.
presumably the rebel baseship only used its heavy raiders because, had it used standard ones, they would probably have been the victims of blue on blue action.
but
what happened to leoben, the centurion takeover etc? it just…never occured, which was a bit disappointing.
got to love baltar’s attempts to convert the centurion “so there’s this master and his dog, right?”
June 7th, 2008 at 2:11 am
WOW! that’s all I can really say. I loved the whole episode. There was a point where I thought Baltar was gonna kick it for good. All I could think was. “Poor Matt will be so sad.”
Thank you Adalla for your warning about next week’s preview. I managed to turn off the tv last night before next weeks preview showed. and I think I’m going to try to avoid all talk about what’s gonna happen next episode. I want it to be more of a surprise. Although, I doubt they’ll reveal who the final cylon is. Maybe they’ll just out the 4/5 final ones.
June 7th, 2008 at 2:29 am
I have mixed feelings about this episode and was left feeling dissapointed after watching it due to little happening that we didn’t know would happen from last week or the trailer. While this episode was better than last weeks which I thought aside from the pointless Lee president subplot was quite a good episode, I think that this episode and Sine Qua Non could have been combined into one episode or a two parter using the battle as the midpoint.
I also had a couple of problems with the logic at some points
1) The relative ease of destroying the hub, it is guarded by at least two full strength baseships and I doubt that it is completely defenseless itself, while the first part of the attack (disabling FTL) is reasonable in terms of ease due to the surprise factor of the attack and if the aim of the attack had been simply to destroy the Hub then I think the attack could have worked BUT as they had to board the hub, find D’anna get back to the raptor and then destroy the hub, I just dont find it realistic.
2) The only Roslin can speak to D’anna part of the plot. I am sorry but if it had been onboard galactica then it may have been possible to do this, but Roslin is onboard a CYLON basehip, given that small fact I think the cylons could easily get D’anna if they want to (and who is to say that the room she is in isnt bugged anyway)
Moving on, I was pleased that my “prediction” that D’anna’s next line after telling Roslin she was a cylon was only joking turned out to be on the right lines, I also enjoyed the Baltar talking to the Centurion and I was thinking that perhaps he would start another civil war between the humanoid and mechanical cylons, though with his pal getting destroyed I doubt that will happen (in the short term anyway).
The next episode looks to be a highlight of the season if not the series with the known four getting outed in someway and Anders, Tyrol and Tigh on the verge of getting spaced. It also looks like Tigh and Lee’s “warm” relationship continues
Will post more thoughts when I have had time to digest what happened in the episode more
June 7th, 2008 at 3:33 am
Awesome episode!! I think it smoothed over a lot of things with Adama and Roslin and I liked how Elosha (Whom I predicted would be back) basically told Roslin “You’re being a great president but a bitch of a human being”. I think it sunk in and I honestly don’t think Roslin will care about the presidency when she gets back.
Now, I have a theory about the Cylons: I think there are two breeds of Cylons.
I think the 12 human models were created by the Lords of Kobol and were the original HUMANS. I think the Centurions were created by the humans and are in essence the grandchildren of the Lords of Kobol. At some point I think the original 12 left the humans. I also think the head Sixs and Baltars and such are quite possibly the Lords of Kobol themselves. I think the Centurion Cylons met up with the 12 models in space and found a common bond in their dislike of what the humans had become and this started the downfall of man.
Thus, they are BOTH Cylons but not of the same origin. It would also explain why the final five are from Earth.
Your thoughts? (And NO flaming)

Like Charles, I have a problem with how easy the hub is destroyed. These are the Cylons who wiped out billions of humans in one fell swoop and the one ship that is central to their resurections is so lightly defended? And they don’t have redundancy? I would guess that an advanced cybernetic race would have back up systems? In a previous episode, one of the seve (I believe it was a six) said that there were millions of each model. Why aren’t they building another one.
Next week the Four are finally revealed to the fleet. Should’ve happened four episodes ago.
My rating: three out five stars.

Does anyone have any ideas what the only clear and complete hybrid utterance means
“The Wingbeats of the Dove drown out the heartbeats of those who follow”
the Hybrid says this (or something similar) at least twice fully and once in part so it is proabably significant, One possibility is that it refers to the destruction of the Hub but I dont believe that to be the case. There were also a lot of half complete utterances with the first half drowned out by Baltar and Roslin.
Changing topic but does anyone else think that they should have shown the Hub first, and then Sine Qua Non since the only thing spoiled from Sine Qua Non was the Adama in a raptor and we would have spent a week wondering why was Adama in a raptor as opposed to knowing the Hub was destroyed and Pike Dead

According to Battestarwiki.com:
“A Resurrection Ship is a large vessel specifically dedicated to the “resurrection” of humanoid Cylons who are killed. Normally, upon death, their consciousnesses are downloaded into new identical bodies on the Cylon homeworld, but for humanoid Cylons located farther and farther away from home – such as those hidden within the human refugee fleet – this is not possible, as the download range of a humanoid Cylon is limited.”
The Cavil #1 Cylons are not completely gone. Only the ones in deep space pursuing the Colonial fleet wont be resurrected.
For the last three episodes they have been making a big deal about destroying the Hub, and stopping Cylon resurrection. But the ones by the homeworld can still respawn. Plus – how hard would it be for the rest of the Cylons to simply rebuild another Hub. Their ship yards werent effected by this. Or even rethink how they resurrect. Perhaps just resurrect on a a basestar instead of respawn on this vulnerable ship. They should have learned from the last resurrection ship they lost – which I think was more heavily defended.
The Hub was destroyed too easily. 3 or 4 basestars guarding one of the most important ships in the fleet. Luke Skywalker could have taken it out, and this time left his targetting computer on, and Told Obi Wan to get out of my head , and shut up, “I got this”.
No way an unidentified battered basestar should have been able to pop up from nowhere, and start launching Raiders in the direction of the Hub. They are not “one big happy fleet” as Khan Nooning Sing would say. There is a Civil War going on after all – you think somebody would be watching dradis.
Why is the Hybrid on the rebel basestar so competent. It is able to repair a heavily damaged ship, ignore Baltar, be aware of the resurrection of D’anna, and pursue a constantly moving Hub. Then when the battle begins – survive the attacks of multiple basestars.
Meanwhile the Hybrids on the other basestars, are unaware of the presents of a pursuing Rebel basestar, and cant even put a dent in it when it shows up.
Finally. Why didnt the Hub just jump. They should have had the FTL spun up just in case some unknown basestar or colonial ship arrived
Is there some kind of conspiracy going on with the Hybrids?
Dont misunderstand me. Im able to suspend my belief. I did enjoy this episode.

Rebelsnoopy reminds me that we never get to know anything about the cylon homeworld. What is it like and are there still cylons there or is everyone following galactica? Maybe we’ll learn a little more in later episodes or in the potential BSG movies. Seems like the cylons would still have the plans to rebuild a hub so permanent death doesn’t have to be final.
After being very disappointed last week I liked this episode. Had the feel of some of the better BSG episodes.
With Head Elosha how many head characters is it now: head cat, head baltar, head six, head elosha,
June 7th, 2008 at 5:00 am
why is the rebel hybrid so competent?
experience maybe, if she is in some way ‘alive’ and has free will, then it follows that she would also be capable of learning from her actions. this seems to happen when she wired herself into lifesupport so they couldn’t unplug her again. if all those baseships having been doing, possibly from the very start, was escorting the hub then their crews and hybrids would have had no combat experience, and would never have been tested. by comparison the rebel baseship survived a major attack by a superior force, and seems to have inflicted significant damage on her attackers befoore carrying out extensive repairs.
life experience?
same would go for the defending baseship’s raiders, when compared to experienced viper pilots.
does anyone agree that the battle scenes in this series (ionian nebula and the hub) have been really choppy and uninvolving, compared to the stunning ones in season 2 and the beginning of season 3?

That was one of the most fun episodes of BSG… ever. It was exciting, dramatic, and hilarious. In time, we may rate this one with the best. Oh sure, there are those who make an effort to dislike these things, but they are angry little people and I just laugh at them and their miserable lives. I hope every week that there is something in each episode that will upset them. I often point it out to the people I watch the episodes with:
“Oh, THAT is going to make some angry little Internet forum poster miserable! I love it! Have a heart attack over it, you whiny little baby!”
I am so evil.
Anyway, I will probably have a more thorough review later.

WOW, one of the best episodes in my opinion! YAY D’anna is back, my favourite character! Shame its only for a few episodes, but you take what you can get!
Ever scene that looks into the Cylon world is a scene not wasted for me, i especially liked how Baltar, almost sensing that he had no allies at this moment without his Cheerleaders turned to the centurions, who oddly seem to be listening to him, although the one that did listen got blown up, poor Baltar…
I Bet Matt was screaming “NOOOOO!” when Roslin started to take off the patch
I don’t think this is the last time we will see the leader eight, i mean they wouldn’t create that kind of story line if they wouldn’t progress it, right?? And the spoiler for the next episode shows a women leading two centurions, i haven’t worked out if its leader-eight or Tory, both would be VERY interesting!
My money is that Boomer got off alive, i mean they wouldn’t show her escaping if they were just going to blow her up, they would have just Let D’anna kill her.
The Spoiler looks amazing for the next episode (which says that next episode is next week??), From day one i knew Tory would go Significant-Seven on the colonials, she totally wants to be a Cylon.
The Viper comes back, and i bet that the 3 Cylons activate it and it gives them the coordinates to earth or something similar.
Should be an exciting episode!!
June 7th, 2008 at 8:04 am
I’d like this episode much better. Wish we say more six’s and Leobans.
I could have sworn I saw a picture of Helo/Six/Eight on the Hub I wonder if it was cut.
It was good to see Baltar out of Church. Now all we need to for Caprica Six to get out of the brig. I think when a character stays in the same setting for a long time they can go stale. Not much for them to explore and grow.
I heard that they were going to do webisodes again during the break. Anyone know what they are going to be about? I think it would be cool to have em about the interaction between the pilots and cylons on the basestar.
After watching both previews for the next episode I got a feeling that the Humans will only get part of the directions to earth. Where as the Cylons will get the rest from Tory. Then the peice to earth the Humans has will fall into Cylon hands. Where the Cylons will say “screw you liars!” and jump to earth.
Now I’m thinking it will be like Moses and the Israelites. Not all the Israelites made it into the Promise Land. Some did and some had to wander around the desert for 40 years.
I have a feeling that the Cylons with some humans(Roselyn/hostages/Cult Baltar) will make it to Earth long before the Colonist Fleet does. Cult Baltar will be allowed to come because of their faith in the one true Cylon God.
June 7th, 2008 at 8:23 am
Very nice theory Ryan about the 2 breeds of Cylon, and everybody being a Cylon…or rather everybody being Human…same race, 2 breeds.
I like it. Though I dont think the Lords of Kobol created the 12 models…I think the Lords of Kobol most likely ARE the 12 models…hence why they appear as the 12 models to people. Head Six, Head Leoben….and yes Head Baltar…Baltar is the “13th Lord of Kobol” …different than the other 12.
June 7th, 2008 at 8:56 am
I definitely enjoyed this episode I loved Baltar. He’s back!
The interaction between Baltar and Roslin as they try to communicate with the hybrid was just too hilarious. I always think of him as ‘princess’ Baltar when he is in this particular mood: spoiled and egotistical. I never saw him this way with Roslin he always keeps his guard up around her…maybe he thought he had nothing to loose. Then he storms off and tries to seduce a Centurion! Well, as much as one can seduce a Centurion anyway. And you know that is his thing seduction. I love how he resorts to all his formerly ‘discarded’ bad habits and psychosis whenever he feels cornered or scared. So human!
Laura has deteriorated physically quite rapidly. She looks so fragile in this episode. I thought it was really cool that they depicted her in various stages of health even going so far as to portray her dead. Ironically enough I did not feel her death the way I did at Baltar’s almost death. When I thought he was really dead I was devastated…not so for Ms Laura. I love that Eloshia is her conscience or better self. Interesting. I have often wondered what makes her so much better than Baltar. Who is she to judge? Is she any better? That inner struggle she has with herself regarding whether or not to let him live was very powerful. Even with his blood leaking out of him and so badly wounded he could die, Roslin has to really dig deep within herself to find compassion for Baltar. I am really glad that she chooses to try to save him. Baltar finds the time whilst dying from what appears to be wounds that almost cut him in half to apriciate a pretty woman. Hahahaha!
Isn’t it interesting that Baltar has a near death experience just when the hub is destroyed? That is Ron D Moore giving the finger and a thrill to those people who believe that Baltar is the final cylon. I mean how would he have resurrected?
And I am one of those who believed he might be the final one although I am now leaning towards it being a female.
The 6’s looked so sexy in their fight suites nice to see them wearing something different. This new 8 is cool, I always wondered why Bommer did not access all the information about Athena especially when Hera was sick. Privacy does not seem to be an issue for cylons so why not find out everything about your model? Helo can always have a wife it seems.
Sad to see the Hub die I liked having an endless production line of cylons, especially 6’s and D’Anna’s. Welcome back D’anna! I love the relish with which D’anna describes human qualities. D’anna is endlessly fascinated by humans warts and all maybe that explains her love for Baltar. I love D’Anna’s little dig at Bommer: “that is until she sees something shinier!”
And Ron D Moore needs a cylon bitch slap for all these Promo Teasing that lead nowhere moments. There was a name for girls who did that to boys in high school! Get over yourself Ron and deliver! Or lock yourself in an airlock with Tory she will show you the light!

Awesome Fraking Episode!
I here to talk about Baltar…I know that will make Matt happy, LOL!
Okay, I have many observations to make here. First the scenes with Baltar and Laura were great. The arguing over talking to the Hybrid was just too funny, especially with the way they cut into each other while they did so. Now I read how some thing that he is nervous away from his groopies, but somehow I don’t think so. I think that he had absolutely no job since he isn’t a viper pilot or soldier and all he was there for was because Laura had him there since he was in her vision about the opera house. So he went and talked to the centurion and went to spread the word of “God”. I thought the way he spoke to the centurion was funny, the way he was so serious in his way speaking to the walking tinman especially with the dog analogy, which the centurion was probably thinking WTF about.
Yet, I can’t help but feel somehow that it will be significant. I mean, remember Razor and the hybrid saying “All this has happened before, and it will happen again”….what if Baltar is sowing the seeds for the next time. The human race created the Cylons and they went from “By Your Command” to starting a rebellion against humanity. Now the skinjobs are in charge and they kept the centurions as soldiers and servants, but now that Baltar has introduced one to “God” even though it was blown up, there may be a chance if the centurions have the whole memory download thing maybe they all get the info? If thats true…maybe things will happen again as they happened before?
Okay, now with Baltar’s confession and his obviously changed attitude, he has surrendered his guilt and even now believes that as Head Six told him he was “God’s” instrument. He opened the floodgates even if unwittingly, and the fires destroyed all but the handful of humanity seeking the new beginning on Earth. I like how he tries to get Laura to see the same and to accept “God” the way he came to.
Is it me, but I believe there may be some parallels here with Deep Space Nine, as Matt mentioned before when it came to Geita’s leg and the way Nogg lost his leg. There also seems to be a whole Kira and Dukat thing going with Laura and Baltar….I mean look at the parallels:
Dukat goes from being a baddie who looks for acceptance for the crimes he did and then finds the “love of the Parwraiths” even becoming leader of his own cult, not to mention the many women he suduced over the course of the series and the way he looks for Kira’s approval and stuff….humm sounds similar to anyone we know?
Just hope that Baltar doesn’t go the same way as Dukat, I like him, even with all of his faults, he’s the most human person on the series.
Also can it be a coincidence that the woman who died of cancer before in the infirmary with Laura was Nana Visitor? Humm?
Let me know what you think? May the Force Be With You All! ~DarthRoden3:16 (aka Carl)

Great episode. Although the previews made it look way more exciting, it was quit entertaining. The previews for next weeks episode gave me goosebumps. Especially Tory. Anyway, I wonder if Roslin will be installed as President again, and who will take command of Galactica, when Tigh is outed.
June 7th, 2008 at 12:35 pm
Hybrid prophecy from Razor : “And the fifth, still in shadow, will claw toward the light, hungering for redemption that will only come in the howl of terrible suffering.”
My interpretation of this prophecy is different than many of those who think the fifth or last Cylon will be revealed while he/she is suffering.
I don’t think the unknown Cylon will suffer himself /herself while seeking redemption.
I think the people in the fleet will have a “howl” of terrible suffering. This unknown Cylon will then do something that allows for redemption for the sins of the Cylons..
This might be the destruction of anti-Cylons. Or allow for the Cylons and humans to become one.

I was, before I saw this ep, worried about how they would handle the Adama/Roslin love issue. I shouldn’t have wavered. Great ep on all fronts.
June 7th, 2008 at 1:47 pm
Hey loved this episode!! Just wanted to talk about the destruction of the hub. A lot of people say it was too easy but I don’t think it was. Here are some reasons I thought of.
1. The hubs main defense was randomly jumping about space, and the only way to find it is to be a hybrid and jump. So they Cylons thought it was safe enough and therefore didn’t require ships or missiles.
2. The Basestars you can see in the background are not escorts for it, they are the ships of Cavil who had just arrived to awaken D’anna.
3. Cavils ships don’t have raiders since he had them all destroyed and since the Baseships use the raiders to destroy incoming missiles instead of guns they were defenseless to missiles.
4. The rebel ship had missiles and raiders which could destroy the incoming missiles from the Basestars.
5. The hub didn’t jump straight away because to it the rebel ship was just another ship and the incoming raiders were not a threat. So i think the dead viper plan would have worked.
So thats why I think they were able to take it out easily. What do you guyes think?
June 7th, 2008 at 2:06 pm
First the review of the episode in several sentences:
1. Roslin finds love and expresses it to Adama thru spiritual guidance and vision of her upcomming death.
2. Dianna is back and she plays a mean trick on Laura.
3. Funny Baltar gets close to death and reveals to Laura he gave the codes to the skinjobs.
4. Laura almost kills Baltar and then saves him.
5. The Hub is destroyed and so are the 8’s faith in Helo.
6. Dianna is going to Galactica to out the five. Oh boy!
This episode was amazing. The preview for next week are sick! Ron Moore is a frankin genius.
June 7th, 2008 at 2:56 pm
OK, did anyone else notice Adama’s super-mega-badass Han Solo moment?
Roslin: I love you.
Adama: It’s about time.
Compared to…
Lela: I love you.
Solo: I know.
Please tell me i wasn’t the only one to see that?
June 7th, 2008 at 3:34 pm
Hey, first time poster to this particular forum but i just wanted to say i loved the episode.good blend of drama, action and humor.i do have one question though. with the hub destroyed all we have is d’anna’s word on who the fifth cylon is right? maybe i’m seeing something that’s not there. how does one go about proving who’s a cylon when they can’t resurrect to prove or disprove? ok, that was two questions but who’s counting?
June 7th, 2008 at 5:06 pm
Well, perhaps that “advanced cybernetic race” never anticipated a full-scale civil war where a faction of their race would collude with humanity to destroy their capacity to download. For good. I also think we’re assuming the Significant Seven can reproduce the Hub or even know everything about the downloading process — on New Caprica it sure seemed to be a surprise (and an unpleasant one at that) that repeated downloads became increasingly painful and psychologically traumatic.
And I really loved the way D’Anna played a Cavil/Leoben-style mindfrak on Roslin, and then turned on a dime to make the point that she doesn’t trust anyone at this point. And why should she — when everyone around her has a secret agenda in play? As D’Anna says, she’s the last Three in the universe and she’s looking out for Number One.
June 7th, 2008 at 5:47 pm
First off…I need to say something that is meant more for the “Sine” episode…but here it comes. When I first saw Lee in that maroon shirt, with longer than regulation hair I had a vision of Baltar. At first glance I thought it WAS Baltar, but no it was our new President of the Twelve colonies. I’m not saying it was/or wasn’t some kind of foreshadowing, I’m just throwing it out there.
Still think the Tigh and Six connection will be significant.
As far as the “Hub” is concerned, awesome episode. Loved the mid-jump visions Roslin is getting…and also the complete mind frak that Helo gets from all sides. Come on Ron, give that kid a break. He already saved the entire Cylon race once and now he gets it from an entire line of Cylons about trust. He married one, why does he have to take crap from every sister she has? Not to mention the fact that plenty of human peeps hate his guts for being with her. He can’t catch a break.
Finally…is it me or does anyone else hate that the humans are getting all buddy buddy with the cylons? The toasters tried the whole genocide thing(nuclear bombs, crazy experiments, conquering new caprica)…but a couple years later its a frakking “Love In”, alliances, making babies, finding god? That doesn’t fly with me…it might fit in with the 10 main characters, but the other 39,000 human beings might take issue with that. I wouldn’t blame them a bit. Humanity has looked out for number 1 since the start, but now they wanna get in bed with the enemy? No thank you…
June 7th, 2008 at 7:32 pm
Erm, i just reviewed my post a couple dozen above and looking in the dictionary for the word “penultimate”…. I’m and idiot..
Sorry my bad
June 7th, 2008 at 7:53 pm
Can’t stop thinking that Baltar’s injury and his confession fulfill the old hybrid’s prophecy, making him the perfect candidate for the final cylon…
June 7th, 2008 at 8:23 pm
Dimiter,
I agree with your theory that Baltar is living out the hybrid’s prophecy. I thought he was the final cylon because no one has suffered as much as he at the hands of both races. But I also think that the final should be a woman…only because there are less of the girls. The other suspects who have suffered are Roslin and and Kara….
June 7th, 2008 at 10:59 pm
Let’s have a look at the math again: Cavil, Simon and Doral are as good as dead by now, so we have 4 male (Tigh, Tyrol, Anders, and Leoben) and 4 female (Diana, Tory, Eight, Six) models left. At this point of the story, I think the final cylon can be either male or female. It would be awesome if Baltar takes command of that basestar (just like in the original series) now, wouldn’t it
.

Ok My review
I believed the hype, and boy, was I right to. From start to finish this episode was everything I thought it would be and more. The way they pulled off not just action and drama, but humor as well, is amazing. I will even say that this is my favorite episode of the season.
2 days ago… Great way to start the episode where Guess What’s Coming to Dinner left off. Yes BSG, I want to forget that last episode, good call. Wink Plus I really like that theme from Guess what and this episode. So the story kicks off…. Jump. Holy frak the return of Elosha!!!! Wow was I floored when I saw that on the hulu sneak peek. I loved Elosha and was glad to her again. Though I wonder is this “our” Elosha or is this another head person. My money is on both. Also where are we? I’m thinking the same place as the Opera House. The space between life and death. The scenes in the empty galactica were amazing and raise so many questions. The biggest one being; If Roslin isn’t the Final Cylon, then how is she having these visions and crossing over into “The Next Realm”.
Helo, the Toy Soldier. Helo almost makes me wonder if is he is who the hybrid was talking about in Faith. Here he is again playing the role of the obedient solder. Doing exactly as the President orders in bringing her the 3. Even against his reservations. Also it was very interesting to see an eight connect with him because of shared memories with Athena. I was actually sad for the entire eight line when one showed up in a goo tub right b4 going kablewy. How frakking cool is that!!! I felt for an entire Cylon line. Great storyline.
The scenes were Baltar and Roslin were trying to talk to the hybrid were hilarious. Then you have maybe my second favorite scene. Baltar telling the Centorian about God and and Slavery. What a riot!!! I was having visions of Baltar from the TOS when I saw that scene. Especially when he has that mischievous look on his face. IMPERIOUS LEADER anyone?
The Scenes with Di’anna,Cavil, and Boomer were wonderful and bitter sweet. I love the “pet eight” line. I hope to gods there was a resurrection ship hiding in the wings. Cavil is probably my fav. Cylon and I hope he survived.
The space battle was spectacular. I really dug the way they approached the scene with the subdued music, rather than in your face like they normally do. Truly a beautiful execution. I enjoyed the call back from last episode with Pike’s head shot. Then you have the final explosion which to me looked mystical. It almost looked like an exploding phoenix, which makes sense considering what the HUB is.
Frak this show knows how to play with a man’s emotions. I thought they were actually going to kill Baltar this early in the season. I was a teary mess during the scenes where it look like Baltar was a goner. That speech about his guilt was so beautiful. There is something profound going on when Baltar confesses his guilt to Laura. Both actors were amazing during these scenes. The way Laura gives into vengeance and tries to kill Baltar has been brewing for some time. What I thought was amazing was her reaction when she realized she could not cross that line. It’s no small wonder to say, this is my favorite scene.
Finlay you have have Laura realizing Galactica is HOME and that she loves Bill. Man what a great scene at the end. Husker comes aboard and and Laura tells him she loves him. Thanks to whoever pointed out the Han Solo connection. You are absolutely correct!!!!! My only gripe….. COME ON….. A FRAKKING HUG???!!!!!! KISS THE GIRL BILLY ADAMA!!!!!!!!
June 7th, 2008 at 11:42 pm
Okay, I think I know what Earth is. I have a lot of evidence so I’m going to say it might be a spoiler. I seriously think I figured out hald the series here.
Earth is not a real, physical location. It is an alternate reality/dimension akin to “heaven”. The process of getting to “heaven” has always been considered spiritual, but dying and waking up somewhere else is a process we have come to know as “downloading”. Is there any real distinction between downloading and having your “soul” sent somewhere and waking up in a new body that way? Not really. Hear me out here guys. I’ll list my evidence and eventually get to the point.
1. The numbers of the final cylons were on the side of the ferry which transports people between life and death – reality and Earth. Their roles would be to act as liasons between the two. Maybe they guide people there, maybe they actively try to bring them. Emily said she felt a presence around her that said “I’m with you”, which is exactly what Anders said to the dying 8. During that moment in the podcast for Faith Ron Moore said that Anders’ “latent role” is emerging.
2. The Final Five are apparently “from” Earth or at least “have been to Earth and know the way.” I have long speculated that the five were important figures in the story either since the beginning of these “cycles of time” or at least the beginning of this particular one. They have existed for thousands of years. They’d “download” in a different way – either by simple reincarnation or by manifesting in appropriate mortal individuals. People who claim to be reincarnated say that certain things they remember from their previous lives feel like they are “from childhood”, as Anders and Tyrol mentioned about the song they heard. By existing in this fashion they would literally exist “in the space between life and death” as the Final Five are said to. There has been a lot of emphasis on “the faces of the final five”, and when seen in their natural state (the visions) they seem not to have any corporeal form. Maybe they don’t have “faces”, they are just beings that manifest in tangible reality now and then.
3. D’anna kept killing herself to see the five – of course she’s seen them when she dies – they are the guides to Earth, which is where people go when they die… unless they have a little safety net called a ressurection ship. Why else would she be seeing five entities who are apparently “from Earth”.
4. On the “dying leader” – it’s not “leading” in the sense of “in a particular direction towards Earth”. It’s that when this particular person dies the way to Earth (death) will become clear/open and he or she will have led everyone there. Either that or this person will become progressively more able to perceive the way to Earth the closer he/she gets to death. Thus will the way to Earth be discovered.
5. In Flesh and Blood Leoben had a line like “I’m standing in the stream, the river never takes me downshore”. The “stream”? You mean the one that leads to the “Undiscovered Country”, Earth? Of course it never takes him downstream – he ressurects and thus never reaches Earth. Why is it called the Undiscovered Country? Well, because everyone is dead when they reach it. If that’s the only way to get to it, then yeah, it’d be undiscovered if from the perspective of the mortal realm.
6. Why did D’anna die upon seeing the final five? Because they guide people to Earth – which means they die. But she didn’t make it because she downloads. After ressurecting she was saying something was “so beautiful”. I initially assumed she’d been enlightened and was saying the true nature of the universe was beautiful, but she isn’t gushing metaphysics now that she’s back, so maybe she caught a glimpse of Earth and was saying *it* was beautiful.
7. Natalie saw a glimpse of a forest when she died. Was she projecting? Or was that a glimpse of Earth? Without her ressurection ship she would be default “download” to Earth.
8. Kara “died” and returned saying she’d been to Earth. Yes, if everyone who dies goes to Earth that would be quite natural.
9. Kara is supposed to lead them to Earth, but it’s also been said she will lead them all to their deaths. Same thing?
10. The Nebula has some connection to Earth. Maybe Earth existed once and that was where its sun used to be. In any case, being in proximity to that nebula is what triggered the final four. Their inner souls nudged them because they felt the connection to the abstract reality of Earth. Kara’s “feeling” wasn’t fading because they were going in the wrong direction, diverging from the path TO Earth, it was just that they were moving away from the Nebula.
11. If she is the leader of the final five as the various Hybrids have suggested, “the five lights of the apocalypse under the one reborn, etc.” she would exist in the space between life and death as they do. She said she felt as if she had been there before. Yup, if this is her true nature she certainly would have been there before. Existing in such a manner as the final five do would only really mean that once dying and going to Earth, you could come back – they can traverse between the two realities. If the nebula is the place where the universe most closely intersects with the realm that is Earth, it would be natural that it would be both the point of her return and the point where the final four become aware.
12. Laura seeing someone who has died during jumps. It brings up an interesting question; how does jumping work? In that split-second between being in one location and another, does the ship technically not exist at all? Is it in the “space between life and death”? Since Elosha died on Kobol, would she be barred access to Earth? Does she exist solely between realities now, and that’s why Laura is seeing her? Moreover, why is Laura able to perceive such a thing now? Is it because she is so close to death herself? Is it because it’s the dying leader’s role to perceive the conduit between life and death – reality and earth – and so she is sensitive to it?
13. Do the baseships jump in a different way than the colonials? Are the mechanics of jumping the reason the Hybrids are so crazy? Imagine what they must see every time they jump – the knowledge they gather in the space between life and death. That would also explain why jumping seems like some sort of sublime ecstasy for them. Six told Gaius they float in the cosmos and perceive the universe in a very different way and that “maybe they do see God”.
The difference between Cylons and “Humans” could simply be that one race downloads to new bodies in the same universe and the other download to Earth. Considering the notion of the “flood”, it’s fairly easy to figure out the cycle of time from this point.
So yeah, essentially I’m saying the place across “the stream” and “Earth” are the same place. Think about it for a while and it’ll start to click. Sorry if I couldn’t convey the evidence well. I also may have left some points out, but I think what I’ve listed is some pretty conclusive evidence and ties many plot points together. So far I haven’t found anything contradictory and this theory just seems more and more viable as I think of things from different angles and gather new information. Hopefully the realization will hit you guys like it did me.

Regarding “Head” Elosha is it possible that she and “Head” 6 are the same entity, while they have contrasting personalities they are both interested in ensuring Baltar lives, with Elosha “guilt tricking” Roslin into saving his life when she was going to let him die, and she also inferred that Roslin would encouter Adama before they reach the fleet, a trait that Head 6 has also shown (knowing things ahead of time). The difference in personalities IMO is simply due to the entity using the most effective method of manipulation with the current target.
While Baltar has seen both Head 6 and Head Baltar inferring there are multiple head entities, I suspect there may just be two messengers one who appears in male form and the other in female form and they appear in a form that the person seing them can accept. We may even be able to include Tigh’s visions of Caprica as Ellen in this since that in part is what led to Caprica becoming pregnant IMO. This would explain if my theory is correct why “Head 6″ would appear as “Head Elosha” to Roslin as it is doubtful she would accept advice from someone in the form of a 6, by this reckoning if Head Baltar was to pay her a visit he would probably appear as Billy or Adama rather than Baltar as she would find it difficult if not impossible to accept advice from Baltar

[blockquatoe]I think the 12 human models were created by the Lords of Kobol and were the original HUMANS.
[/quote]
That sounds very similar to a theroy I posted a while back about the final 5 being the Lords of Kobol and Human/Cylon hybrids. I can post it again if you like.
August thank you for that theory!!!!! I have had the same theory for weeks now. The only thing is I don’t think “The Next Realm” is Earth. I think we will see a very real Earth a few episodes b4 the end. Frack we might even see Earth next episode. I believe that Earth is just a stepping stone for the final journey and end of the show. The “next realm” and what you call earth is the final destination. Also if you think about Head people and the way this journey may end one thing crossed my mind as well. This story is the New Series’ incarnation of the Beings of Light. I’ve since gone back and watched TOS episodes and it fits. All these visions, head people, Lords of Kobol etc. is a more complicated variation of the beings of light story. I even think that Head Six may be the new series incarnation of Count Iblis.

a poem by WH Auden kept going through my mind while watching this excellent episode. The entire poem can be found here: http://www.poets.org/viewmedia.php/prmMID/15545
Especially this verse:
“All I have is a voice
To undo the folded lie,
The romantic lie in the brain
Of the sensual man-in-the-street
And the lie of Authority
Whose buildings grope the sky:
There is no such thing as the State
And no one exists alone;
Hunger allows no choice
To the citizen or the police;
We must love one another or die.”

Kirsty commented thusly:
June 8th, 2008 at 4:23 am
arrrghhh.. I cannot seem to attribute properly not in one post at least. Probably because I am such a FRAKKIN OLD PERSON. Damn. Anyhow, what I wanted to say in response to Kirsty’s excellent post above was…
I agree that for Laura becoming aware of her love for Bill and the people of Galactica showed her where her home is. Home is that place where what we love exists.
The Hyrbids remind me very much of the Navigators in Frank Herbert’s Dune books ( am not sure if anyone has mentioned this ) they eat that weird spice so they can live outside the normal space time continuum as one can only navigate FTL there. It is really the “space between death and life” …it is a place that exists outside the linear time stream. Who knows what visions one could have there if the conditions were right. Laura has them now, possibly because she is so close to the end of her own time in the “normal” space.

Since I plan on never dying( seems boring and a waste of time) I have gotta get me some of that spice. Or become a hybrid. Don’t like the iccky tubes though.

Did everyone notice how poigniant and eerie the music was during the whole battle scene? Particularly when the Hub was destroyed.

As scifi hasn’t posted “The Hub” on its rewind webpage yet, here are the links to it being posted on youtube for all those who haven’t seen it yet.

Hehe,
“I know this may feel like a violation of trust or something”
lol understatement of the century.
I loved this episode, it’s all the good stuff combined into one. The drama, the CGI work, the humor, the bitter sweetness, everything.

Wow! I really like it that Roslin is nice again. I thought this was an unexpected way to change the course of Roslin’s slow death, because earlier in the season she said that she was just going to get meaner and meaner, and she told Baltar to not get on her bad side. And now, just as she was about to kill him, Elosha tells her to love someone. And from then on, it’s the return of Nice Roslin. First, she saves Baltar, then she accepts without question that D’anna is not going to tell her anything (yay D’anna is back!) and lastly she tells Adama she loves him. I must say, that final scene between them rivals the kiss in season 2, if you ask me. Great episode.
June 8th, 2008 at 9:19 am
I also noticed that replacement Athena was wearing a colonial uniform while all the other Cylons were wearing their own black Cylon uniform. Which brings up another thing. Why the hell to Cylons even have their own uniforms and why. And how the hell do they get into the raiders without gutting them… I think that might be a teeny weeny plot hole.
Heavy raiders are not the same vehicles as raiders. Heavy raiders are for moving personel, akin to raptors, and have been used throughout the whole series by the cylons. No plot hole, and no need for gutting.
June 8th, 2008 at 10:52 am
i hve seen the prom fro the final and u well see things that is shooking…… also i think i know what well happen in the final season and also i the the tier season the is big refence 2 the orginal PLANET OF APES, i thin that the end will be simauler 2 that and it will all star with final 5, adama, roslin and starbuck……….. and i think that theory that posted a will back is almost right this isn’t the end but the begin and it all beings with ALL THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE AND WILL HAPPEN AGAIN, AGAIN, AGAIN………….. and the reason i say this is that it bit hovers that what is going 2 happen.
also was APHRODITE (the eight with ATHENA’s meroesy) was good, it was like if ATHHENA was betrayed but on the cylon side.
also the hve kapte the i.d of the final 1 secert 4 such long but i dont think tha starbuck or roslin is the final 1 also on that not was evey1 thnk that roslin was the final cylon when dina said it.

Good God!
June 8th, 2008 at 11:45 am
Fantastic episode! Finally Roslin tells Adama how she feels, they are so great together! I have to say that their story was well told, and applicable to not only what being in love is all about, but how it differs from when you are young; ie. Starbuck and Apollo. I like how those two relationships are reflections of the other, old vs. young, physical vs. emotional parts of love, and how love is the same, but different as you get older. Kara and Lee had lots of sex, but for them that is not what made them closer, as w/Adama and Roslin (have they had sex, they need to) it’s not about the sex.
As for Roslin’s visions: they reminded me of the place between life and death that the cylons talk about: what I think Natalie saw right before she died, where D’Anna went at the time she saw the Final 5, and where Starbuck went w/Leoben, and then she “died”. I think that all of those visions and places are the same but different, depending upon the person. Roslin finally sees the truth of herself and her life, ie. Adama, like Kara was able to free herself from that which kept her from being vulnerable, loving Lee, finding her destiny. The strong, rebellious Kara had to exist, for her to be able to fight for the path to Earth, and her beliefs since she has been back, she’s just made her peace w/it.
I also believe that Baltar is now the dying leader who will lead them to Earth, and it is no longer Roslin. I do not mean in the physical sense, but I believe that his religious beliefs are part of what and how they will get there, and Roslin is the actual reality of how, but Baltar will actually get them there. My reasoning behind this, is that he feels that he has been redeeming himself for his greatest sin, of unwittingly destroying the human race. But, it was also the human flaws that caused him not to see the truth, ie. he was a wealthy narcissist, he could have any woman he wanted, one even as fascinating as Caprica 6; he was a long way from the poor farmboy w/the tacky accent right?. I think that as fabulous and as much of a weasel that I still think he is, I think he will die before they reach Earth, as his purposed will have been fulfilled, and perhaps he will be redeemed. But I miss the old Baltar, smoking, walking around Galactica all crazy w/Head 6…..
I am so excited D’Anna is back! Great job killing Cavil, he’s really dead this time (at least that one). I am not too high on the 8 being all weird around Helo, that creeps him out, as it would anyone. I also think Helo has a bigger role in the human/cylon future, maybe the last of the 5? he has played an important role all along, especially w/the first human/cylon hybrid being his baby girl. He was hot and amazing this ep, go Helo go! However, the only thing is how D’Anna said “Oh, it’s you, forgive me, I didn’t know”, when she sees the last of the 5, and this means she knows the person, and has not been kind to him/her–this narrows down our options.
So, next week is it, Tigh confesses, but i think Starbuck is going to be the one who will save 4/5 we know, and Lee; well Lee although he’s about to do a Roslin (airlock’em), he believes in Starbuck, and he believes her–I guess everything does happen for a reason, right? especially seeing her conviction per the promo. What about Tory? Power hungry? mmmm, and how come Tyrol was not going out w/Anders, Tigh and Tory? I also want to see more Zarek!!!
Athena
June 8th, 2008 at 11:59 am
When Roslin said to Helo, “you’re not married to the entire production line” I’m remembered what she had said previously when Athena arrived not long after Boomer had shot Adama, “how different can they be?” I’m wondering if her understanding of Cylon individuality has improved or if she is just changing her interpretation out of convenience.
There has been some talk on this thread about the Cylon home world. I’m not aware of them ever mentioning having a specific “home world.” They were kept beyond the armistice line, not quarter off to a single planet as I understood it.
In the story of Adam and Eve death did not exist until they ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and were banished from paradise. The banishing was done by god who had created them. Here we have the Cylons loosing their immortality after the civil war. This brought the razor hybrid’s prophecy into fruition (that in time sin would consume them). And the hub was destroyed by the cylon’s creators the humans. Are there other thoughts on this? I’m human so I’m good at making reasonable sounding connections that are none the less meaningless.
June 8th, 2008 at 2:34 pm
next week is the last episode and ther is sumthing that is bothering me…….. well 2 things is it posbe that the final cylon is on earth not in the fleet and sumthing else is it posblie that earth is in fact kobol or a past kobol and evey thing else is a fact going in a loop and also on that note i bet that season 4 ending will b sumthing like planet of the apes, but sumthing different and the BIG clue 2 they’re
1) then they will join the promised land, gathered on the wings of an Angel. Not an end, but a beginning.
2) All this has happened before and will happen again. Again, again. Again. Again.
but final we willl find out who is the final cylon………………….

Kabrid – Heavy raiders are not the same vehicles as raiders. Heavy raiders are for moving personel, akin to raptors, and have been used throughout the whole series by the cylons. No plot hole, and no need for gutting.
Oh I didn’t realize that. I’ve only ever seen raiders they all look the same to me. Thanks for letting me know. I’m so glad it wasn’t a plot hole.
June 8th, 2008 at 5:15 pm
I, wonder if tigh and the six will get together after discovering she is pregnant with his baby or does it have something to do with Baltar
I also love dánna’s character hope she lasts til the end in the next episode she seems to form a bond with the Roslin being on a planet with her maybe its earth , what happened to Leoben he seemed like an important character maybe Leoben and Starbuck will get together in some way they seemed to have some genuine feelings for each other in earlier episodes after Starbuck killed him soooo many times well I just cant wait til the next episode to see the final fours faces when Dánna steps onboard galactica !!
June 8th, 2008 at 5:46 pm
I had a thought. I was reading on another forum and the idea of Joseph Adama being the final cylon came up. Impossible, right? But what if Lampkin has created a false background for himself and he is actually Joseph Adama incognito. Thanks to Tyrol and Tigh, we know that the final five are capable of reproduction, which would explain how Bill was born. I dunno this may be completely impossible just a late night thought.

About time indeed!
It’s too bad she won’t live…
… but then again, who does?
June 9th, 2008 at 3:21 am
— much better than last week
my speculation for next weeks cliffhanger episode “Revelations”:
As I said before, I’m pretty sure that Kara’s (piano playing) father will appear and I think he’s something really important…like a cylon god or ……????
Let’s wait till next week if I’m right.
bye folks
June 9th, 2008 at 3:51 am
p.s. Are they standing on earth in next weeks preview?
I read in an interview that finding earth is not the end of the show.
So maybe they find earth next week?…but what does it mean?…What is earth?…
there’s too much confusion
June 9th, 2008 at 4:49 am
I don’t know if anybody has mentioned this but doesn’t it seem like a long time since we last saw Head Six. I think the last time was at the end of Escape Velocity where Head Six glanced over at Tory while everyone was cheering Baltar. Throughout this episode I kept wondering where she is. She is usually right there with Baltar whenever he is facing his worst trials and yet there he is bleeding to death, facing his final moment and she is nowhere to be seen. Can we interpret that now that Baltar has found God and has transcended his guilt he can face his death alone. Was head Six merely a manifestation of his extreme guilt? As Elosha is a manifestation of Laura’s guilt for pushing the ones she loves away.
I have to say I really miss Head Six, I find Baltar less interesting without her. Hopefully she will be back soon. It would be great to see Baltar confront her about this abandonment. You know something like- he found God but lost the one he truly loves…
June 9th, 2008 at 5:17 am
Hello hello, this is my first BSG Cast post I found the site about a week ago and now i’m hooked :p finally a place to share my ideas on BSG. I’m a british fan so I’m definitely a fan of Baltar. I like your style Matt.
Anyways now the introductions are over after reading the posts on this episode I noticed no one commented on one of D’annas lines that I think hints at her knowing much more than simply the identities of the final five. After Baltar starts talking to the centurion and as soon as the vipers power up D’anna says “The inhibition’s been lifted, oh I sense it.” Now i’m assuming she’s refering to the centurions no longer having inhibitors. The fact that she can sense this leads me to beleive that she knows more than we would have thought. She also seems almost euphoric when she realises this maybe its important
.
General comments on the episode I loved it absolutely superb acting by Rosalin and Baltar. I can’t wait untill next week I’m so deperate to know what is so special about the final five. The looks on thier faces will be priceless. You just know that Tori is going to end up the high queen of the cylons fully enbracing the position. As for the others well we’ll have to wait and see
June 9th, 2008 at 5:53 am
Hi,
Matt thanks for the recognition on the Athena theory. Made my Scifi week full circle. I took my 12yr son to Wizard World (12yr old boy heaven) in Philly last Sunday and met Katee Sackhoff, (she was very sweet). Between those two things my spirits brightened.
On to the episode, I loved it. The play between Baltar and Rosilyn was ‘Priceless’. A little bit of my Athena insight worked in there just didn’t play exactly as I had expected. When Baltar lay dying I turned to my husband and said “Oh, poor Matt, It can’t be true” and with a concerned look on his face he said ‘Who’s Matt!”
I loved seeing D’anna back. Ruthless! Can’t wait for next week. I’m not going to speculate this time I’m just going to sit back and enjoy and I wait ’til after next week’s episode for that.
P.S. I’m not sure I’m going for this afterlife Earth theory.
June 9th, 2008 at 6:37 am
HI ALL!
I love this board and Matt and Nat are fantastic….my request: please no talk about next week unless you label it with ’spoiler’ please please please. Like some others, I don’t watch previews and don’t want to know ANYTHING. Thank you – most of you are already great for this.
Secondly, I want to withdraw my comment two episodes ago about the plot loophole when the basestar and Demitrius were supposed to jump back to the fleet at the same time. I thought that was a dumb device to create fake drama, but I renege. The basestar’s FTL was tied into the one on Demitrius and they had to jump together (still don’t like the Starbuck ‘I’ll take a raptor now that my stupid husband shot Gaeta’ manoever tho – still bugs me the raptor possibility didn’t come up before that —Tootie rolls her eyes)
On to “The Hub”—————————————————————————————-
Drew said:
I was also impressed w/ Grace Park playing a totally different 8 character. I was totally convinced that was another character, not Boomer (on the Hub) or Athena (on Galactica) and it worked really well with Helo. It was kind of creepy though that she accessed Athena’s memories, that would’ve been very uncomfortable if I were Helo. I do wonder if Boomer escaped off the Hub before it was nuked…
I agree – well put! It was SO well done. She was not Athena but she was…I wonder about Boomer’s upcoming role too, should be INTERESTING. I loved the way this 8 was so blunt about it “I don’t want this to be weird’ and Helo kind of wanders off in a daze…(perhaps realizing the orgy possibilities hahaha)
Adalla said:
The humor is back! I LOVED Roslin and Baltar trying to talk to the Hybrid…it was SO hilarious.
I agree. (Humour is with a ‘u’ haha) Baltar’s self-importance was SO FUNNY.
Kirsty and others made great analysis of Baltar in this episode, and I hadn’t thought about his behaviour much, even after re-watching it. Thank you to all of you, I enjoy it more for your thoughts on him.
Kirsty said:
TOO FUNNY – how true! And a nice dramatic contrast of the humour of Baltar pestering the centurion with the explosion shock. NICE
I loved the way the director made a damned good job of the centurion listening to Baltar and trying to understand his gibbering!
DarthRoden3:16’s comment about Dukat and Balter – HILARIOUS….and interesting.
Jake R. said:
OK, did anyone else notice Adama’s super-mega-badass Han Solo moment? Leia: I love you. Solo: I know.
Nope, it was Solo who said ‘I love you’ at the power station on Endor and Leia who said ‘I know.’ And yah, I’m a sci-fi nerd and proud of it. On that note, Adama didn’t have to say I love you. The fact that he waited for her against all hope and reason IS love. She knows that.
Having said all that,
1) Thank goodness Roslin and Adama will be back to the fleet soon! That is, thank the gods one-eye and Ricky Martin won’t be in charge long!
Unless…Laura and Bill get hitched with Baltar or the Hybrid officiating and take the raptor on a little honeymoon (ala B’Lanna Torres and Tom Paris in Voyager) hahaha! With bits of centurion parts on strings, trailing after it like popcans! With a whole wack of 8’s and 6’s as weird bridesmaids and whole wack of Leobans as groomsmen….
2) Will Caprica’s baby have one eye or two? A baby with an eye patch would be cute (and I don’t find babies generally cute)
3) I love the thought that Galactica is the final cylon, but unless it gains the ability to speak…pretty uninteresting…
That’s all for now folks!
Tootie
June 9th, 2008 at 7:56 am
Tootie, just to clarify and in no way trying to offend you, me being a star wars geek as well, Leia said ” I love you” and Han said ” I know” in The Empire strikes Back right before Han was frozen in carbonite. The opposite in Return of the Jedi was the reversal in-joke for Han and Leia. Still for Battlestar, waiting impatiently still for next week and it is the mid-season finale, so when does BSG start up again, do we have to wait for 2009??!!! AHHHH! I don’t wanna think about that, now I’m depressed. Well, have a good day all.
June 9th, 2008 at 8:04 am
So the Hub is destroyed. The Question i have is are all Cylons after the Galactica? Or are some Cylons sill in Space around the 12 Colonies?
My theory is that now the hub is destroyed those Cylons that have settled on the 12 Colonies are the start of the new Circle there (they are immune against the radioactivity of the nukes) und the 13th tribe are indeed the surviving Humans and the rebel Cylons. This would make a perfect circle.
To the Episode:
I think it was great. Everytime the Baseships Jumps it gets more tention. But something Elosha said may be important. She says that the ancients believe that they have the same blood as there leader, but that this was wrong. Only the soul was the same ( sth like that don’t have the exact quote in my mind now). So this could mean that whoever leads the fleat is not the same blood as everyone else in the fleet but the same mind. Maybe that is a hind that the leader of a fleet (Roslin, Lee oder Bill or the cylon god that leads both fleets to earth but isnt from the same blodd –> some sort of ancient Human?) What do you think?
June 9th, 2008 at 8:57 am
Great episode!
I thought in the episode the hybrid said that 6 (natalie) was no longer with the makers? Then everyone responded that Natalie must be dead and that is why the hybrid jumped. I saw in a previous comment that they believed the humans to be the makers, but the humans did not create the hybrids or the human cylons. I think the hybird was referring to the final 5 as the makers.
Quick note on the next episode. It looks like Col. Tigh is the only one who gets spaced. Which sucks because I think he is one of the best characters on the show. Also what is up with Lee? First he is shown punching Tigh and then he is ready to space Tigh, Anders and Tyrol. Then evenutaly spacing Col. Tigh. How did he go from one extreme to other. I mean he helps vindicate the person (Baltar) who had a hand in almost destroying the human race twice (once with the enitre 12 colonies and again on New Caprica) and now he is ready to murder 3 people who’s only crime we know of is that they are different from him? Those 3 persons have more to do with saving the colonies than possibly he (Lee Adama) ever has. What caused the drastic change? Also, who is Adm. Adama sending to their deaths? Well if Tigh is spaced, which I think he will be. That is going to really ruin the show for me.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:00 am
Just watched it again with a mate and sorta spotted something.
Its obvious so probably just a silly observation but when Rosalin and Elosha are on the Galactica in the vision she makes a comment about the Galactica being empty and Elosha says “It feels better this way doesn’t it” now initially I just put this down to the nature of the dream sequence trying to look eerie. But when I look at it as a vision of the future (which it appears to be more and more as the sequence progresses) you notice that the only thing in the room is the bed and life support machinery there is nothing on any other beds or anything else in the room for that matter. It is just Rosalin and the people she wants around her.
This to me looks like a version of the future where Rosalin has chosen to die on the Galactica even though in this vision it appears it has been out of service for some time. So maybe it is the future and the battlestar has been decomissioned and she has simply chosen to die there among her closest friends?
Or maybe it was just done to set the scene

Optec – This to me looks like a version of the future where Rosalin has chosen to die on the Galactica even though in this vision it appears it has been out of service for some time. So maybe it is the future and the battlestar has been decomissioned and she has simply chosen to die there among her closest friends?
I’m pretty sure that the reason there was no one on Galactica, was to symbolize how Laura doesn’t love people anymore. That she would really preferr it if Galacita were empty. It was her subconsious way of trying to get her to open her heart. Her friends are around her because she lets them love her, but she doesn’t love them. In the end she reazlies she loves Adama and needs to open her heart to him. I don’t think it symbolized any future event in particular. That’s my take on it anyways.

Hello everyone!
This is my first post on this site.
First off I want to say hello to Matt & Nat. You guys are very good and funny, I enjoy your shows. I think you should add a new segment to the show, called ” the best performance” which is given to the the character who stood out in that weeks episode. Or you could give out an award for the best line of the episode. I will leave it up to you guys.
Anyway, my vote would be for best line is Baltar, with his..”Lets try this, shhhh…Stop jumping the ship, alright!” That line is so great you could have used it throughout the entire episode. Elosha to Laura….”Laura, Shhhh….Stop being a bitch, Okay! OR, Laura to Helo…”Helo, Shhhhh…..Stop macking on all the 8’s. Or, Helo to Fake Athena…..”Shhhhh, Hey stop trying to be my wife, bitch. Laura to Baltar….”shhhhh, Hey, shut-up and die alright!”
On a more serious note: I have read the many different theories that people have presented and they have been very good ideas. Very interesting points of view, but 99.9% of the time they have being wrong. Except for the once that have been from people who have seen the original series and compared it to the reimagined series. If you can get by the campy and corney ’70’s story lines and acting you will see where this show is going.
The first main point is the beings of light are visiting and interacting with the people in the fleet. I believe that Starbuck was abducted by the beings of light just like in the original show. They kept her and showed her things she needed to see in order to help obtain a larger goal. A bigger plan that God has put forth. In “The Hub” when laura was speaking to Elosha, this was another example of the beings of light helping or showing someone something that they need to see. I also believe just like in the original series there is an opposite force working toward a different goal as in Count Ibls story line. Head Six with Baltar would fit into the theory that she is some kind of fallen angel or is she really and evil devil like character which fits with the 666 idea. Or she is an Angel who may have turned against God just as there are some Angels who are jealous of Gods love of Humans and they feel like God has turned away from them. Yet they don’t know what side they want to be on.
Elosha spoke about how the ancients got a lot of things wrong. It looks like the Humans may be wrong for worshiping false Idols. Another important point is when Baltar spoke about the Flood and how mankind had to go through this flood in order to be reborn. This carries along the lines of the Story of Noah and the Ark. The Fleet is the Ark searching for new land waiting for the flood waters to receed. The only proplem with this is I believe RDM is pulling from many different stories and beliefs to come up with this story, causes you not be able to make heads or tales of what we are seing. I don’t know just a thought. We will see as things progress.

if u look at the promo for nexst week, it look like the viper Kara got in the start of the season, it hapening somthing to it so it lead them to earth. it seams like the five have somthing to do whit it but it looks like Tory is alredy on the basestar amd not put in the airlock.

ITA, Kirsty. After all, as Head-Elosha reminds Laura these visions aren’t some ‘cosmic vending machine’ where you push a button and what you want magically appears. You’ve got to work to make sense of them, and (like Head-Six and Baltar) I’ve really got to wonder if these are really some metaphysical manifestation of higher beings/God(s) or really elaborate psychotic constructs of the subconscious.
And I really, really loved Head-Elosha giving Laura Roslin a moral bitch-slap about murdering Baltar. (And let’s not fadge around, that’s exact;y what she was up to.) YOU don’t get to decide who deserves to be saved on a “case-by-case basis”, not even a nasty little muthafraker like Baltar — the cold dissection of Laura’s arrogance and lack of empathy was one of those grace notes that make BSG so special. And just to add that perfect cherry on top, Mary snaps out of the vision, there’s one second when the horror and fear spreads over her face like a stain, and she FREAKS.

The music in this episode was so beautiful. The hub/battle theme was just awesome. Totally got goosebumps. Oh man, I find myself wishing for the show to be over already so the soundtrack will come out. Then of course, no more BSG. NOOOO!!
Every bit of screen time Baltar had brought a smile. I loved his story of the dog and the treat he told to the centurion and its look of confusion. I wonder if before he died, the centurion broadcasted everything they talked about to the others. Maybe Baltar is going to get his own little army of centurions. lol.
Thinking about Helo, I think that he may have felt his life was in danger if he disobeyed Laura. She would have totally had him put in an airlock for killing the cylons with the virus, but had Adama there to basically fight for him. Now that he was all alone on that basestar, I think that if he would have disobeyed, she would have ordered him to either be held or shot for treason.
Loved D’anna’s return. Her character is so much fun.
I wonder what new shiny thing will catch Boomer’s eye.
June 9th, 2008 at 12:28 pm
I’m wondering if she got off the Hub (and I’ve little doubt that she did), that she’s going to turn out to have a lot in common with Tory — who is going to find out that “embracing” your Cylon nature doesn’t make all your pain, confusion and unresolved frustrations magically melt away. Not one little bit.
And something else to think about: I don’t think Boomer ever really got over the Chief. She finds out he’s one of the Penultimate Four, Cally is out of the picture permanently, and Hera isn’t the only humano-Cylon hybrid baby out there. Bingo! She’s got her life back — or not. Then she finds out that Tory spaced Cally — now wouldn’t that be one hell of a marker to play to get the love of your life back?
Jus’ speculating, folks…

I was about 50/50 with The Hub. I liked that there was some closure with the story but it didn’t really jump out at me. the funny bits with roslin and baltar were great and I was glad to see d’anna unboxed but I think next week’s episode is looking like a contender for great episode, whereas The Hub was just ok for me.
June 9th, 2008 at 1:59 pm
While watching this episode I couldn’t stop thinking about Jacob Marley.Did any body elese catch that vibe?
They could’ve ended the episode with Geata saying”God bless us, every one!”.

Rock on JJ. The music is the best part of this show. Several of my buddies who also watch just don’t notice it, but I do. The way he developes themes and ideas as organically as the characters and plots themselves is astounding. And he manages to do it so well that you can enjoy it WITHOUT the show, as we have seen with his season 3 soundtrack in particular.
The Hub battle music was perfect. It was poigniant and soft, even a little eerie. It really highlighted the significance of the event far more than the typical drum licks for battle scenes. I also LOVE the Roslin/spiritual theme that is played while Baltar is bleeding onto the floor, and you see Roslin slowly begin to convince herself that Baltar should die. I also loved the lush, heavy strings afterward playing Baltar’s theme as he begs her not to do this to him. Also, the “fake” would not have worked at all without the music. Mary is a great acress, but I didn’t get “oh….my god” from her. It would have been plain awkward without it. Another section that would have worked half as well is the Adama/Roslin reunitingz. That theme is just so beautiful that it almost made me forget how cheesy this love plot really was (would have been better to hold off on this love realization till Roslin was at her deathbed IMO).
I don’t think many people realize how much the music makes this show (and I salute those who do realize it).

I was wondering if searider falcon is a real book i was interested in reading it to see if there are clues to what is going to happen this book i believe has significance in the story and im interested to find out why.
June 9th, 2008 at 3:09 pm
I’m pretty sure, judging by what I’ve seen of the writing, that it is a fictional book. The passages are far too convenient to the themes at the time for it to be a real book.
June 9th, 2008 at 3:30 pm
I have a feeling that a lot of people were disappointed that Roslin saw Elosha in her ‘visions’ instead of Billy. I think Elosha was a better choice though because she was more of a mentor to Roslin and in a way the one that first believed that she was the dying leader.
Are they going to do anymore with Baltar trying to turn the centurians against the twos, sixs, and eights?
And in next weeks promo. Do the humans find out who the four cylons in their fleet are? Toory does seem like the one most likely to leave and join them.
June 9th, 2008 at 4:16 pm
The Hub
was a great episode I loved to see Alosha back even if it was for this episode and raises a question when Roslin dreamed of the river in the road not taken we didn’t see Alosha in the river banks as well as billy which means the thought of the river was just imaginary because roslin loved both Billy and Alosha so much . Alosha appearence in this episode shows either Roslin’s conceince which I always thought she lacked greatly or a being similar to the one who appeared to Starbuck as Leobeon in Maelstrom season 3.
And a great point was made by Alosha that Roslin along with the other colonists choose to be noble sometimes then become tyrannial
at other times that they should choose who deserves to live and who deserves to die just like in Collaborators in season 3 they were judge, jury and executioner and how the cylons see human justice as a life for a life revevnge as justice. Baltar is flawed, they are all flawed . They lived in the this society where it was all nice and pretty on the outside then ugly and decayed on the inside. They want to find a planet thinking that it’s exactly like theirs if the colonials came to earth how would they react to a world that abandoned the old gods for new ones weve seen how they have reacted to Gaius preaching if they find earth what’s to say there wouldn’t be a war because of ideology and yes I know this is a tv show.
There are a few that aren’t like this like Karl “Helo” Agathon . He found very hard having to deceive the new Sharon in his life
and having to go back on his word after it was given . Helo always does the right thing to do .He’s one of the few humans that prove to the cylons the good ones that prove that not all humans are alike except in this episode . Helo’s honor is all he has for himself and through out the series and it has done harm for him greatly in the need for a place to belong and as always Tahmoh penikett gave a great performance. I am hoping that the writers of BSG keep the character till the very last episode because if anyone deserves to make it to the end of the line it’s Helo who sometimes seems amazed by what the cylons can do like the new Sharon downloading Athena’s memories to herself and now has the secrets shared between husband and wife and now he better tread very carefully because the 8s’ having a way manipulating situations for their own want and need just as D’eanna said that 8s’ are loyal until they find a shint toy to play with which is true . So Helo needs to be very careful even if he falls for this Sharon cause she’s more between Boomer and Athena and well he’s a guy in the end of it all and he not immune to temptation along with Athena’s paraniod attitude she has had lately is just going to get worse with someone wanting her husband and he can’t tell the difference between and of them and if this Sharon really wants helo she’ll do anything to get him. And that makes for alot of drama.
#3 is back and it’s great to have her back and boy did she give it to Cavil after all he did deserve it , right and D’eanna did realize after all the time they were talking and they didn’t ask about the five she knew that they were going to box her after she had done the task of taking to the 2’s , 6s’ and 8s’ on their behalf they would just box her again . she’s basicly let Roslin know off the bat that she’s not naive , stupid and will not be played and good for her , can’t wait for the next episode.
Boomer surely didn’t like it when Cavil called her his pet so she knows that this thing between them isn’t love and more about possesion on his part and know the odds of her and Tyrol and her ending up are getting better I want them to have a happy ending they deserve a life together and Tyrol can ask Boomer for forgiveness for abandoning her when she needed her most he can’t judge her anymore and they both need forgiveness and to heal. And she’ll get everything she wanted Tyrol and a child (nicky) and he needs
a mother.
Leobeon where was he? He disappears every time there’s a battle and the producers couldn’t leave one of the viper pilots out of the script and give the budget to Rennie Callum cause the last we saw of him was in Guess what’s coming to dinner to go and take care of the centurions couldn’t they at least had him stay on Galactica and be abandoned there , well? And quick question is he the last 2?
Vipers and raiders working together if the viper pilots can get over their hate for the cylons they make a very good team even though
they can’t get past the need to say skinjob to cylons faces.
And finally they are doing what the hybrid wants to do and not what they vote to do . she’s not going anywhwhere any time soon.
well till next time.
P.s. BSG made Friday’s best weekever on VH1 ever 6-6-08.

“I agree – well put! It was SO well done. She was not Athena but she was…I wonder about Boomer’s upcoming role too, should be INTERESTING. I loved the way this 8 was so blunt about it “I don’t want this to be weird’ and Helo kind of wanders off in a daze…(perhaps realizing the orgy possibilities hahaha)”
Hmmmm. Helo gets invited to Nat’s “Eight Party” … lucky bastard!!!

Great episode. 4/5, definately. I don’t have much to add that hasn’t already been said.
I LOVE Jane Espenson. With this episode, she totally redeemed herself for Dirty Hands. And let’s face it, the woman knows how to write Baltar. How FANTASTIC was he in this episode? The “conversation” he had with the centurion was probably one of the funniest BSG scenes to date. And his confession to Roslin? Now that was intense!
And Roslin…the woman can’t seem to get away from the vision, can she? At least they helped her find her humanity once again. Mary and Eddie are just so darn adorable together. That scene had me in tears…And I’m not even a ’shipper!
But, as a devoted Helo fan, of course I loved his storyline most of all. I love that the writers decided to revisit the idea of sharing memories. I also like that once again, Helo was able to distinguish between the woman he loves and her “copies”. Back in season 2, Athena said to Adama that she was Sharon but a different Sharon. Helo was the first person to really understand that. Though Athena shared Boomer’s memories, Helo knew she was her own person, influenced by her own experiences. The same thing happened with this new 8. Yes, she has all of Athena’s memories but she’s NOT Athena and she never will be, no matter how hard she tries. I love what this episode said about the Helo/Athena connection. I can guarantee you that if Athena had been there, Helo would not have lied to her. But because this 8 was NOT Athena and their intimacy was nothing more than an illusion, Helo was able to deceive her…I can’t wait to see what happens with this Athena-wannabe. I believe she’s the one from the previews and she doesn’t look happy. If I were Helo, I’d watch my back. (And kudos to Grace for making this new 8 as dynamic and unqiue as Boomer and Athena. Hey, maybe she’ll even get her own name!)

Based on the preview for next week I have a feeling that Tory will become the new cylon leader and that ultimately she will end up killing whatever people she is going to be around. I have the feeling that they should have listened to Cavil in that the final five would be detrimental to them in some way.
June 10th, 2008 at 12:48 am
Looking at some of the posts above, I still have some questions that remain unanswered and that I think may have some bearing on the show.
Also, I was thinking through this in my free time (yes, I’m a nerd), and some thoughts came up about some theories that people are putting out there.
I want to address the things that I don’t think fit with the various theories to date:
1. There is a whole lot of supernatural influence in the show, from Head Six telling Baltar about the Cylon device in Galactica’s CIC in the Miniseries to the return of Starbuck, apparently from the dead. To this point there has been no sufficient answer to the forces behind them. Is it the Lords of Kobol pulling strings? The Cylon god working his will?
Any theory that doesn’t address those issues, and there are some that try and take the purely rational and scientific view, doesn’t thematically answer anything. All of those elements wouldn’t be in the show just to mean nothing (or there will be some confused and angry fans).
2. While Baltar’s role remains questionable, making him an additional deity (in particular the Cylon god) doesn’t really fit with other statements. Sure, he surrounds himself with a cult of personality, and sure he is selfish and manipulative, but he has been moving in a different direction now (with relapses, yes, but those are not the rule). The god that desired to be worshiped above all others had to have started more humbly (since it was that god’s actions that forced man to be separated from the gods) and become more selfish over time, meanwhile, Baltar has been moving on an opposite path from that, becoming more selfless over time.
3. RDM has spent a LOT of time giving a plethora of evidence to say that any one of the suspects could be the final Cylon. While I have the person I think it is in mind, I don’t know if my reasoning is any better (or less stubborn) than that of anyone else. The idea that the final Cylon is a minor character/someone with no impact, such as: Hera (hello, we know she’s one and I didn’t see a kid in the various pictures of the F5), a/all of the hybrids (really… that’s not a big thing at all), or someone that we haven’t met or just barely; seems a little bit ridiculous (not that its not possible) with the amount of time that they spent confusing all of us when they wouldn’t need to.
A quick question… I’m a little behind and I’m helping my wife catch up on the show on DVD, we’re over half-way into Season 3… did we ever discover what Gaeta’s secret was that Baltar whispered to him just before Gaeta tried to stab him with the pen? It certainly was something big enough to make him want to kill and it had to do with the Occupation and what Baltar called “treason.”
Some talk came up about the Hub and its lack of importance with the Cylon home world. I had a couple thoughts that might be relevant.
1. The Cylons may have abandoned their home world shortly after the attack on the colonies. The colonies were called “home” by Caprica Six in the Miniseries. They did try and move in after the attacks. They could have abandoned their home in exile to return to their original home.
2. The Cylon home world could have been decimated or depopulated by the civil war. Surely there would have been representatives of all of the known models and centurions on the home world if there were any still there.
I still have not heard a real reply to a major question that I have had that may be very relevant.
Who are the “programmers?” A Cavil made it clear that there had been programmers that knew about the final five and programmed the seven not to think about them because of some reason. That implies that the programmers knew the final five and knew about them, at least enough to have reason to program the others specifically in reference to them.
What are the programmers? Are they old style centurions that were somehow able to come up with the concept of making machines almost indistinguishable from man? Are they an as yet unseen commander style robot (like the IL series or the Imperious Leaders in the old show)? Are the programmers men that were forced or chose to help the Cylons? Are they supernatural beings that wanted to use the Cylons for their own ends (like the way Imperious Leader was said to be patterned by the Cylons off of Count Iblis in the old show)?
Finally, where did those programmers go? If the Cylons kept around the old models of centurions, etc, why would they not do the same with these programmers? Why did they stop producing other new skinjob models (other than the obvious plot elements)? Did they run out of material, did the programmers break, or was there some other motivation (now we’re back to the supernatural element again)?
I also wouldn’t count Zarek out yet. He’s never been a believer in the entire supernatural element, he just plays along since so many others are. If they reach Earth and find something other than what they are looking for (as has been hinted at by some), that will be his best opportunity. He has been speaking about how the government wasn’t elected anyway and how its so unfair, surely some have been listening (he does still have voters behind him). The failure of the quest for more humans and support from Earth would be just the thing he could use to finally get real popular support and get his way. He can cry about how all this time they have been misled by fantasy, delusion, and lust for power.
Even if that doesn’t happen, I think we’ll still see him pull something.

Does anyone have a link to see more previews for this fridays episode?
June 10th, 2008 at 4:38 am
but it’s still plausible that a minor character could be the 5th cylon imo. regarding Seelix, it’s interesting to note that she was part of the group (along with Tigh & Anders) responsible for airlocking suspected traitors from New Caprica after the occupation. the truth of the matter is, nobody knows except the cast & crew of BSG
June 10th, 2008 at 4:43 am
Gaseous Clay, I’m not saying its not possible, its just more than a little bit anti-climactic. They could have just left us with the things we already knew about the characters and devoted the time that was spent giving us more reasons to suspect the main suspects to things that would have given the show more depth and coolness. We would have kept on speculating on our own without the additional things. They chose to give us more on most of the suspects for a reason, and I can’t think its just so we don’t consider someone that’s not even really an issue.
As for Seelix, it would make more sense to be the guy that tried to kill Baltar (I can’t think of his name). He is still alive (and showing up in recent episodes), was in the Resistance, and was part of the little tribunal as well.

Mr. Lovejoy Says:
Tootie, just to clarify and in no way trying to offend you, me being a star wars geek as well, Leia said ” I love you” and Han said ” I know” in ‘The Empire strikes Back’ right before Han was frozen in carbonite. The opposite in ‘Return of the Jedi’ was the reversal in-joke for Han and Leia.
Right. Doh! I remember that now. I had seen ‘Return of the Jedi’ recently, but not ‘Empire Strikes Back.’ Apologies to all who think I know what I am talking about with Star Wars!!! esp. Mr. Lovejoy.
On that note, however, I have a funny story. Watched Indiana Jones 4 the other day in the theatre and near the start they are uncovering a silverish mummy and Harrison Ford/Indy is nearby and my friend says “It’s Han Solo in carbonite!” LOL
It’s NOT Seelix! LOL
**********Could someone provide us techno-wanna be’s with step by step instructions on how to quote from another post in gray? The instructions so far are rather muddy to me! THANKS! A LOT!

I’ve just been to the Sci-fi site and they claim to be streaming the WHOLE episode from 9-4 ET am this week which more than makes up for last weeks “preview” which was just the allready released scene with the recap, opening credits and a 30 second walk to the hybrid attached.
Yun I read an interview with the actor who plays Gaeta and apparantly the thing Baltar mentioned will come up later in the season as well as him admitting to being the final cylon (he was joking btw) if his quotes are accurate we wont find out the final cylon until episode 18 at the earliest! the question is will they be able to keep the revelation from the spoiler sites or not?
June 10th, 2008 at 6:19 am
I am now pretty convinced that Leoben was right and that Adama is a Cylon. Joseph Adama would be the one who knew that from the start. It would be a truly shocking revelation but it would make sense on a lot of levels. The lines between what is human and what is cylon have been blurred to a point that makes it possible. It would bring additional significance to the Lampkin Character because because of his relationship to Joseph Adama and his burden to carry some or possibly all knowledge about these Events around with him.
June 10th, 2008 at 6:59 am
If the final cylon is one we last expect it cant be Baltar, starbuck or somting like that. the last person I expect is ofcorse helo. Maybe Hera is the 13 cylon model or somthing like that, and Nicky is the shape of things to come. lets hope not, because then it have to suck big time!!

that was. embarrassing.
June 10th, 2008 at 11:29 am
I do not think Leoben knows who the last cylon is. If he did why would they need to go on this crazy civil war causing hunt for the Final Five. Wouldn’t he just start there. He would say, “let just go grag Adama”…..then the search for the other 4 would be that much easier. One thing that I noticed about this show is, it is rare that the writers pull clues or info from old episodes. Most of the stuff that is presented is used in that episode or in the following episode then discarded. Unless it is a special effects shot or continuity issues.
Do not trust that Leoben knows anything but what is in front of his face.
June 10th, 2008 at 11:55 am
From the preview… For next week, we see Adama with Lee and Tigh (seperately) on the Galactica, and Tory with Roslin on the base star. Where’s Baltar, and how’s he going to react to finding out he’s been the boytoy for yet another cylon model?
Speaking of Tory – am I the only one who caught a glimpse of the cylons running away from her and some Centurions, who appear to be herding them down a hallway?
The raiders refused to attack the Final Five, now the centurions seem to be cooperating with one of the Final Five against the other cylons. Are the Final Five a failsafe of some sort, designed to trigger some sort of ‘reboot’ (aka rebellion) should the known 7 ever enslave the cylons like the humans originally did? And this also begs the question – who instituted the programming that keeps cylons from knowing/seeking out the FF, and why? The Final Five don’t know, and the Original Seven don’t know, so who does? He seems to possess secret knowledge, so could Cavil have been the one to decide to enslave the robotic cylons to begin with, and dispose of the FF to conceal his crime before the other models awoke? He is model #1, after all (or claims to be). Could be why he boxed D’anna. But who knows? Questions galore!
June 10th, 2008 at 4:02 pm
This ep totally redeemed the story arc. Seeing Elosha again was comforting and made for some really great moments of truth for Roslin. Galactica being empty was a metaphor towards Laura’s lack of love for anyone. She’s become so desensitized by caring for the fleet that she really came to despise the fleet. Accepting that Adama loves her and she loves him was good medicine for her. I must admit, the exchange between Adama and Roslin at the end was touching. I actually loved how simple but powerful it was.
Baltar was frakking hilarious in his diatribe to the centurion. I have a feeling that those moments (as funny as they were) will be very important before the series’ end. The confession of Baltar was probably the most powerful moment in the series history as far as I’m concerned. Think about it…we’ve waited 5 years to hear him mea culpa to the destruction of humankind (even if he was unaware of it at the time). THAT was good medicine for him…he’s met his greatest burden head on and finally let it go. That was one narsty wound and the scenes between he and Roslin were seriously riveting. Look for Baltar to become even more at peace and witnessing for the “one god” and his divine mercy.
How awesome is it that 4 years ago it was death to the humans and death to the Cylons but now the sides are evening out and they are inevitably going to have to trust each other to survive? I can’t wait to see how next week unfolds…it looks crazy!
June 10th, 2008 at 5:58 pm
Okay, all I can say that if Elosha appearing in Roslin’s visions isn’t a clue that the Beings of Light are involved, than that means Roslin, Starbuck, Six and Baltar all need to share a cell in a mental health ward somewhere.
June 10th, 2008 at 6:27 pm
Baltar’s discussion about God to the Centurion made me think of TOS of BSG and Baltar commanding a legion of robot warriors. For a moment I was thinking that maybe Baltar would run off with all the Centurions after a bit for one reason or another. Maybe I was the only one that had occurred to.
June 10th, 2008 at 8:57 pm
regarding seelix.
so far all of the revealed final five were in high level positions in the new caprica resistence, with tigh, anders and tyrol leading the military element and tory acting in an intelligence/civilian planning role (but giving orders to militants)
so, if we assume that ALL of the final five were in these roles that cuts back on candidates somewhat. and one of the remaining is, you guessed it, seelix.
interesting how on new caprica the revealed four were going directly against the significant seven, seems they are almost inherently opposed to each other

It probably just one of each cylon model who survive.Thats probably why Natalie died and the hub was blown, and it just came one 3 out from the hub. Athina and Helo is probably going to die, so can baltar and six raise Hera. I belive tyrol and boomer start dating. hopfuly leoben and kara also start dating, and all the cylons get a human.
and shiver. Geta was more or less in the resistance and he is more likely to be a cylon then seelix.

The 90 second previes (well 73 seconds) is now up via Hulu for US residents and you can find a description and link to the Hulu clip on the cinemablend website at http://www.cinemablend.com/television/Video-Clip-Battlestar-Galactica-Revelations-10800.html they normally have the clip up for everyone later on as well.
MINOR SPOILERS FOR REVELATIONS AND SPECUALTION REGARDING FINAL CYLON
In the scene D’anna states that she wants the four cylons in the fleet to return to the baseship, why only four did she not recognise the final cylon as the she would know all of the known four. This suggests that she either did not recognise the final cylon (but in that case why does she not simply assume the fifth is in the fleet as well) or did recognise the final cylon but knows that it cannot be in the fleet (possibly someone known to be dead).
June 11th, 2008 at 12:37 am
Keeping with a religous theme here. Did you notice the similarity in the final scene of hub Christ’s crucifixation. Baltar is lying on down with his arms stretched out. And as others noted he had a cut on his side like Jesus who had been pierced by a Roman spear. When 3 entered the room she sat down on the opposite side of Rosalyn. Making it so that there was a thief (3) on his left and a thief (Rosalyn) on his right.

First time commentator:Sweet!
shiver Says:
so far all of the revealed final five were in high level positions in the new caprica resistence, with tigh, anders and tyrol leading the military element and tory acting in an intelligence/civilian planning role (but giving orders to militants)
so, if we assume that ALL of the final five were in these roles that cuts back on candidates somewhat. and one of the remaining is, you guessed it, seelix.
Interesting point..but when I think about the resistence Gaeta comes back to mind. Here is the perhaps awkward thought. There are the 7 and the final five. But the final five isn’t a group like the 7. In fact it would be more correct to say the seven, the four, and the final one. Gaeta has played a mirroring role to each of the four. To Baltar he was Tory’s character, in dealing with the Cylon virus he was Tyrol, who ever is on the bridge even on the Demitrius gave their orders to Gaeta which to me implies Tigh’s position, Then you got the resistance leader Anders starting in Caprica… Gaeta was the colonial spy on New Caprica. How would the resistance really accomplish anything with out him. If you’ve noticed I am kind of pointing to the final one really not being on the side of any Cylon group. That would be him wouldn’t it. Makes the air locking scene after the escape from New Caprica a little more important wouldn’t it.
I may be missing a point somewhere but there are 12 lords of Kobol, 12 Cylon models. One true God from Baltar’s path which by the way was only talked about by head 6 as far as I know. What if BAltar and head 6 is Count Iblis/”one true god” and Gaeta is the final one that wishes to kill the one true god” to redeem the 12 lords. Baltar for the show is the father of lies. Gaeta doesn’t kill him for similar reasons that the raiders didn’t fire on Ander’s. One doesn’t detroy the father of lies you use him. Or so the Bible seems to.
I am personally not a Gaeta fan and would prefer Helo as the last one or even Zarek but I figured I’d throw that out. Dulla would be a shooker.
Sorry for misspellings I am a third shifter and it is day light.

*************somewhat of a spoiler for the Caprica series, pretty minor though IMO*******************
We are told the old Hybrid in Razor is Daniel Graystone, the “father” of Cylons, i.e. the one who created them. I believe he attempted to revive his daughter who died or something, Zoe.
And this is where something occured to me. Zoe is most likely the female Hybrid in all the Base Stars, while the hybrid in Razor is her father Daniel Graystone.
Neat theory eh? I am seriously thinking she’s the Final CYlon.

Sorry about the downtime today guys… Nat and I are traveling and getting a hold of our webhost was a pain. We’re all up and running now, and we’ll have BSGcast “LIVE from Houston” up here for you in a few hours!

June 12th, 2008 at 2:15 am
By the by… My vote is still on Hera as the Final Cylon. I think she’s Kendra Shaw resurrected as a Colonial at the moment of her death on the Guardian Basestar. I think Ron needs to show us how these final five Cylons exist in the Human fleet, and I don’t think the character of Shaw was invented just to die in a TV-Movie…
~Matt
June 12th, 2008 at 3:55 am
My bet on the final cylon has been riding the same person since about half way through season 3 (before we even knew who four of them were). Anastasia “Dee” Dualla-Adama.
I had kind of hoped it would be Shaw but I don’t think we are going to get that storyline (though, I like your theory, Matt).
Looking forward to the BSGCast! I have been sick all week and came here to find some relief. No need to get excited… I can be patient.
I did get time to finish 4/5th of my episodes 6-10 video, so it should be up this weekend, once I get my hands on the final episode. I mean, if anyone cares.
(excuse any spelling mistakes, if there are any… I am so drugged up and loopy right now, it took me like 10 minutes to type this)
June 12th, 2008 at 5:00 am
Well…
worried about Eloshia; expect this is my oversight or a continuity error-
Speaking of continuity errors, the bolt on the Centurian (which Baltar talks to) is on LEFT chestplate in 1st scene then RIGHT for next 1/2 dozen shots (then they get blown up). Stuff happens…
ANyhow, Eloshia.
I’m pretty sure I saw her all-hooked up as a Cylon-womb in the Caprica fake hospital birthing suite (which Starbuck trashed). But – Eloshia was with the Fleet (either alive or recently killed). Season 2? So – how can Eloshia be in two places?
Oops – either that is an error or she is a skin-job.
June 12th, 2008 at 5:00 am
I’ve just had a thought: I know that a lot of people are talking about the “Last Supper” promo shot, especially mentioning the missing spot where there is only a cup. Many believe it is the Final Cylon that has not yet been revealed. But I think it’s simpler than that. I think that empty spot was for D’anna. Think about it. At the start of the Season, her entire line was boxed. So, when the “Last Supper” promo shot was put up, she was not present in the show. So, maybe that cup sitting there was D’anna missing (plus, if you pay attention to the whole “Da Vinci Code” thing, the actual “Last Supper” picture doesn’t have any cups on the table, and that the “chalice” that is refered to is a symbol for a woman. If you pay attention to the “Last Supper” promo shot, the is only one cup on the table.
Now, this could mean one of two things: that the cup is representing D’anna, who is a woman, since she was boxed she is “missing from the whole picture” or that the Final Cylon is a female.
I know, it’s a stretch, but I think that open space with the cup is about D’anna, not the Final Cylon. I could be wrong about this, of course.
June 12th, 2008 at 5:02 am
Correction to my previous post: There are three cups on the table, but only one of them is a chalice. The other two are just plain glasses.
June 12th, 2008 at 7:33 am
To answer a couple of statements by others:
CB2001 – RDM stated that it was for the final Cylon (or so I have been told). I wouldn’t expect the producers of BSG to ride herd and try and rip off any part of the “Da Vinci Code,” while they may expect people to jump on something that esoteric, I don’t think they would necessarily follow it themselves.
For all those that want to say that Seelix is the final Cylon because of the way all of the other big Resistance people were Cylons, and the direct opposition that they all seem to have had for anything Cylon, there is a much more simple answer.
Charlie Conner meets all of the same requirements as Seelix, he’s shown up in several episodes recently (bartender at the bar in Sine Qua Non), and (perhaps importantly, since we have no indication at this point that a dead member of the FF could come back at all) he’s still alive. He was a member of the Resistance (there are shots of him during the fighting on New Caprica and he’s by the other leaders), he was a part of the collaborator tribunal, and he really hates the Cylons and Baltar.
Steve – the woman in the baby farm on Caprica was the female member of Sam’s team and the resistance on Caprica. Starbuck spoke to her and used her name (Sue-Shaun), so we can tell that she is not Eloshia.
Matt – I’m not going to argue with you, your theory makes a little sense, but I still have a problem with it. In many of the shots of Six and Baltar holding Hera in the Opera House the Five are there as well. So, unless Hera is two places at once in the same room, how can she be the last of the Five?
I personally am inclined toward Gaeta. I think the search for redemption that the Proto-Hybrid talked about was his guilty conscience over the secret (of “treason?”) that only he and Baltar know about. He has been suffering incredible pain (like the Hybrid said) and it may have opened his mind to what he is or be preparing him for that realization.
It also fits with a good plot for the show because his terrible deed could have been something that changed the course of the show and we just don’t know abou it. He is highly enough placed with the Colonials to be important and he may yet, because of his rank (and the absence of some of those in higher rank), end up even more important.
I have to throw this out there… what about Captain Aaron Kelley? Sitting there in the brig, formerly a major officer on Galactica, there since the Miniseries, hates Baltar so much he tried to kill him and killed others…
June 12th, 2008 at 8:11 am
Great BSGcast. I loved the fake set you all used of Houston. We all know that its not a real city; but you all with your fancy Green Screen magic, brought it life. lol.
I dont know about you all, but Seelix seems to be getting angrier with each episode. Since the demetrius, maybe even before and I just didnt notice, she has been really showing her inner “Starbuck”. I am pretty glad to see Pike go though. That character was so very annoying since his introduction.
Side note: Since you all are in Texas, why not make a detour and head over to Austin to watch BSG at the Alamo Drafthouse. Great food, drinks and BSG on the big screen. Check it out http://www.originalalamo.com/Show.aspx?id=5306
I am sorry if this post comes up a few times, I have been having trouble submitting comments recently.
June 12th, 2008 at 9:05 am
I just watched the bsgcast for hub. Matt’s comment about not being surprised and wanting a curve ball was right but I believe the problem isn’t so much the show. When a tv show goes the distance you have more time to imagine the possibilities.
With all the theories I read online I’d be amazed if Ron can pull something else out of his hat. Does Ron read the forums and says “oh they figured it out guess I have to rewrite the script.”?
-Tyler
June 12th, 2008 at 10:16 am
Good point, Tyler… the last thing we’d want to see Ron do is pull a George Lucas and make a REALLY bad creative decisions just because it was the only thing he’d not read speculated on BSGcast.com
Still, I’m hoping we get some fresh storytelling that isn’t quite so predictable… basically I hope Ron is just a lot smarter than all of us put together!
~Matt
PS. Damn, JJ… you saw right through my clever piece of green screen movie magic!
June 12th, 2008 at 11:36 am
Frak me were the first words that came to my head after watching this episode. It has definitely been the best so far.
I’m kind of glad that D’Anna joked with Roslin about her being a cylon because she wouldn’t have done that if Laura was the final cylon. But the look on Laura’s face (and mine according to my dad) was priceless!
Apart from being the best I also think it was the most humourous. With D’Anna’s lines (especially the one about Boomer and shiny things) and Roslin’s lines this episode was hilarious.
And I can’t talk about the last scene or Laura’s ‘death’ scene because as a shipper I will get too emotional! But I think it was written and acted perfectly and I know I’m not the first to curse Mary for looking gorgeous while she’s crying!!
June 12th, 2008 at 12:32 pm
Matt, you need to get rid of Nat because she always interrupts you or repeats what you have said like she has had some sort of gigantic epiphany. Moreover, during the Hub analysis episode Nat appeared to be intoxicated which was really annoying, and I must say embarrassing. She is whinier than Cally. I suggest you have a round table meeting and real her in.
June 12th, 2008 at 2:20 pm
Hahaha… ah, Nick, it’s actually Nat that reels me in… if it wasn’t for her cutting me off and shutting my big mouth up, I’d run out of tape, and never get around to editing it! And to be fair, we did actually just come back from the Microsoft Cocktail party when we shot this one… I think we both had a few Vodka Red-Bulls in us, so we were pretty wired. We had to be, shooting at 3am
Either way, I take it as a compliment that you’d like to hear me continue to ramble about my favourrite show, Nick!
~Matt
June 12th, 2008 at 2:39 pm
Sorry Nick I don’t completely agree with you. I love Nat. BSGcast wouldn’t be the same without both Matt and Nat. Anyway. I agree with Nat about Seelix. She’s starting to get on my nerves too. Maybe she’ll be the next one who gets bitch slapped by Tory and airlocked.
Great cast this week. I didn’t notice any drunkenness at all. Good pick for Fan of the week too. I really liked Kirsty’s theory.
June 12th, 2008 at 2:46 pm
I’m glad I found this place a couple weeks back… there are some nice insights here that I hadn’t thought of.
While I may disagree with some of your theories Matt (its funny to say that since I’m a Matt too), it gives me ideas. The problem is that my wife took your comment about Baltar being the last Cylon based on the scenes with the torture (way back when) and now won’t let it go, she won’t even consider anyone else.
June 12th, 2008 at 3:22 pm
“Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker” Dude, its Houston. Hot and humid; two reaons to be intoxicated, plus… Vodka is awesome! You can’t break up the dynamic duo Nick!! Matt + Nat = Obiwan and Anakin (before Palaptine). Your Palpatine in this cycle Nick, telling Matt to get rid of Nat, next thing you’ll be saying is that she’s jealous of him. Then, we all know what happens next. Matt and Nat lightsaber battle in the BSGcast studio WITH some awesome green screen lava!!!! Then you’ll come in to save Matt, cause Nat is going to win.
Then next year it will be Sith Matt and Nick preseting BSGcast. I see your dark plot. lol.
I was watching the scene with Baltar and the centurion again and was thinking back to what Matt said in a past cast. That the centurions only have one mode of communicating -shooting things. It would be hilarious if the centurion responded to Baltar by shooting the walls, spelling out what he is thinking. An entire room, wall to wall with centurion ranting.
June 12th, 2008 at 3:31 pm
Matt + Natt
Not sure if this was covered; but I have a theory that after Natalie 6’s death last week she became a cylon god like Caprica 6. I believe her destiny is to tangle with Caprica 6’s dark side and bring balance of some kind to the universe.
The last supper pic shows Natalie calling Caprica out and none of the characters look like they see Natalie.
I also find it strange that Caprica 6 has not been in any episodes lately. Are they building up to huge confrontation between these cylon gods?
Should be interesting in the next few weeks.
June 12th, 2008 at 3:34 pm
Thank you Nat — I’m not the only person who finds Seelix ever so slightly annoying. Cally 2.0 anyone?
June 12th, 2008 at 5:03 pm
I agree, Seelix is whiny, annoying and the most racist towards cylons!
if she wasn’t so good looking, someone would have blew her out the air lock long ago
June 12th, 2008 at 5:20 pm
Hey Matt and Nat, I’m flattered you guys liked my comment, thanks for giving me the prize this week.
That’s what’s so awesome about RDM His ideas are so cool that we can actually go back and re-evaluate what we though we knew about the show. It’s a full time job keeping up with that guy.
How do I go about claiming my t-shirt? Please say I have to go to Lucy Lawless’s house to get it… Pleeeease hehe.
Seriously, haha just let me know.
Thanks again.
June 12th, 2008 at 5:58 pm
Has anyone thought about what this episode means for Starbuck? She wasn’t even in it! She didn’t destroy the Hub! She didn’t bring death to the Cylons!!! So what does “Harbinger of Death” mean, and why were the writers hinting that it meant that Starbuck would destroy the hub? (She had that little flashback of the hybrid talking to her right when Natalie was talking about how a complete existence must end). It looks like that theory can’t be true…unless I’m missing something.
June 12th, 2008 at 9:23 pm
Kirsty, if you go to Xena’s house, I will have to go with you to serve as an adult chaperone…
Congratulations Kirsty!
Ben Sona said: “if she (Seelix) wasn’t so good looking, someone would have blew her out the air lock long ago”
My bet is that Seelix is the next named character to bite the dust. That being said, here is a question for the group — who will be the first MAIN character that gets offed (of the 12 on the LAST SUPPER picture + Gaius + Dualla + the Doctor). Why do you think that person will be offed? I would really love to know ADALLA’s point of view on this one!
And now…for the main event tomorrow! Gettin’ my chili dip and tostitos ready!

********************—–kinda maybe a spoiler-alert—–********************
I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but regarding the preview clip for Revelations… it looks like Galactica is in orbit of a cloudy blue planet in the brief scene with the shuttles flying by, and there is that scene with Roslin and D’anna on some sort of planet (with what looks to be a blurry Helo in the background). Could it be that we’ll actually see them find Earth tomorrow night (or, in my case, Saturday after I download it from Unbox)? This show is the only reason I regret not having cable.
June 12th, 2008 at 10:12 pm
Sirslam – Kirsty, if you go to Xena’s house, I will have to go with you to serve as an adult chaperone…
Congratulations Kirsty!”
Thanks Sirslam. I am actually 28, so I won’t need an adult chapreone… but we could pretend so I don’t get thrown out by security haha.

Matt, could you please tell Nat, I sincerely apologize for my above comment, I just had to giver her a hard time. I should have chosen my words more carefully.
Sincerely,

Hey, I missed “The Hub” and was waiting for it to be put online. What happened to scifi posting it the day after it was on? I’m totally bummed.
June 13th, 2008 at 7:09 am
OK, perhaps this is blasphemy but while I love the character and Katee rocks it every damn time, this isn’t the Kara Thrace Show. I don’t actually think it was ever intended that the Hybrid’s prophecy would play out like that, but it would sure be the more palatable alternative for her. In a sense, she is the “harbringer of death” to the Cylons, because if she didn’t insist on the Demetrius hanging around the Rebels would never have come to the fleet. They sure couldn’t have taken out the Hub by themselves.
But I don’t think we’re done with Kara yet — some s**t is going to go down than is going to see the Whiteboard of Hope getting seriously revised downward, IMO.
June 13th, 2008 at 9:39 am
I just saw the preview screen and while it was a good episode I am not sure it works as a mid season cliffhanger and am currently writing an episode summary for my blog if anyone wants fairly detailed spoilers I will leave any specific spoiler comments on here until the Revelations page is up.
June 13th, 2008 at 9:41 am
her character has become slightly annoying over the past 2 seasons, but I think we’re just seeing her viper pilot ego talking and not the humble deckhand she once was at the beginning of the series.
June 13th, 2008 at 11:13 am
Sorry it should say above I will not leave any spoilers on the BSGCAST site until the Revelations page is up, and to sum up my initial thoughts on revelations it is a very good individual episode but merely adeuote if not poor as the episode to end the seaon on.
June 13th, 2008 at 11:41 am
I haven’t been too vocal this week. I guess I was so happy with The Hub I didn’t have much to add.
Anyways thank you for another great Cast this week. Kudos for doing the show even when you were busy. Oh’yeah, and please do not diss The Mat+Nat!!! I love what they do and they make the show more enjoyable. I’d love to hear Mat yammer on and on about the show, even if he’s looking at my theory playbook, :p but Nat brings so much to the show. Eight party anyone? :p Besides the Cast wouldn’t be any fun if Mat put on a centurion helmet and did a show like that dude with his Battlestar Gallactica forum from Family Guy.
Congrats to Kristy on winning Fan of the week.
Part of the reason I haven’t made many comments is because I’ve been working on something. I think I’ve basically figured out at lest half the equation of the show. It’s an idea that a few people here have been dancing around for a while. To say the least I think it will shatter people’s mind and make you rethink about the whole show. My mind was blown once I realized a few things. Hopefully I’ll be able to finish off the post tonight before getting swept away in Revelations hysteria.
June 13th, 2008 at 2:44 pm
Just read an interview in the paper with Eddie James Olmos, where he said that almost all the characters are going to die this season.
He also said that we’ll get the answer to the Starbuck mystery, and it’s not pretty.

Adalla. I am thinking the same thing about the First Hybrid.
This is why the First Hybrid in Razor says his children will think he is a god. His children are the new model basestar hybrids – or something close to this idea. Perhaps some of the versions of the Cylons if not all of them, are his children in some way.
But Im not ready to commit to the idea that any of the basestar hybrids is the final Cylon.
June 13th, 2008 at 3:06 pm
WARNING THIS IS MY REVIEW OF “REVELATIONS” SPOILERS EVERYWHERE!!!!
Matt and Nat, move this to the revelations board when you make one please
and without furthur ado………
Revelations!
Man I love me some BSG!!!!!
Having just watched this on the scifi stream I haveta write it down. This was a brilliant episode and reminds me exactly why it is I watch BSG in the first place. I am So joyous to have this wonderful show and am sad we are now mid-season of the last season. So to comment and break down the episode.
a. Tory and her getting to the basestar.
This was a brillant move I thought saying that she needs to go give laura her meds and doesn’t mind becoming a hostage. She looks noble and is really joining the Cylons at the same time. She had a powerful performance as the wrapping up of Tory and her line that she doesn’t take orders from Laura anymore is classic.
b. Deanna- warrior princess!
I love Lucy Lawless, anyway she has the great plan of holding hostages of the colonial fleet until she gets the final four. More treachery from the cylon side and also I noticed there was no discussion among the cylons, they all did what Deanna said. How did she get appointed leader? I thought cylons were a democracy, even though they were the rebels.
c. The Tigh/Adama confession
Masterful, these two men in this scene with such heightened emotion, finding out your best friend is the traitor. Tigh admiting he is a cylon and Bill in disbelief. The scene after of Bill in extreme pain and agony also was great to watch Eddie do. Truly a touching moment and I felt so sorry for Bill losing his best friend.
d. Baltar and the Air-lock.
Baltar did a supurb job of being the negoctiator and the voice of reason telling Deanna about how violence is not the answer, how it didn’t work before and why did she think it would work now, Also the earlier scene where He thanks Laura for not killing him for his help in the destruction of the colonies was genuine and they had a real connection during this moment and finally saw things from a common ground.
e. The peace accords between human and cylon.
Two races bury the hatchett and decide to work together to achieve the goal. Lee forms the first peace and a cease fire is called. Lee did an excellent job of being the president in a crisis situation and handled it like a pro, and I hope as Laura said he was not done in this capacity just because she was back. I first thought it too conveint that he became president but I now recant and say Ron did a good job in playing it out this way.
Now WE ROll THE HARD SIX and
f. WE FIND EARTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Galactica COMES HOME! During this scene I challenge all of the BSG fans not to be crying at the end of it. I made it to about the third beat after, we have arrived. This is the penultimate scene of BSG. The objective is finally reached and we have still half a season to go. Of course it is way too fast and strange, How magically everyone has forgiven everyone for whatever they did to each other on the way to earth, so all is forgiven and be my guest. but the season needed to be rushed to put two seasons in one. I still loved this scene and was so happy they actually made it and for long time fans of classic BSG, we got to see them make it. Not just told so in the spinoff.
So this has been a wonderful ride and now my questions.
We get to Earth and the cities are destroyed, Are they supposed to start over new and repopulate the planet? They have a new beginning and it will be interesting to see where Ron goes from here. and Who is the final Cylon????? All of the sudden it’s only four we need to get to earth, unless the viper is a cylon, but they didn’t say so. So the fifth cylon is not in the fleet and not with the cylons, is it on Earth? Is it Earth? It’s going to be a long wait for the second half of the last season. Once again, I love this show and it broke the cylce because last week was really good too. Two eps in a row, way to go Ron.
June 13th, 2008 at 5:01 pm
I’s just been so cool if in the end of the season evry cylon model was on a disco doing the robotdance.
June 13th, 2008 at 5:09 pm
u said u wanted the cylon to say somthing when he was “talking” to Baltar. but if he did say somthing u probably said how much it have sucked!
June 13th, 2008 at 5:24 pm
No problem, Nick! The Great thing about the internet is that everyone is entitled to their opinion and has a forum to express it. That’s why all the old farts in Network TV and Print Media have spent the last 5 years shitting bricks… Nat and I are totally into the New Media thing, despite our Old Media education, so we take it pretty lighty. You should hear some of the smack talk I get on YouTube… pretty funny, actually. I got a serious comment for being SOOO stuck-up during our review of Transformers. Made me really appreciate the internet
~Matt

Hey everyone 1st time poster here
Did anyone notice the consteallation Orion at the RV point? I havent seen a post that mentions this yet, when the rebel base star jumps to the RV point and Adama looks out the cockpit window you can clearly see the constellation Orion as we see it in the sky, they must be pretty close to earth if that is visible!
Bring on Revelations!
June 17th, 2008 at 9:20 pm
How do you claim your t-shirt. Or do I have to wait for the Colonial Fleet to deliver it?
June 18th, 2008 at 1:27 pm
I think it is rather obvious that even thought the 7 known cylons had no idea who the final 5 are , they all had some form of programming that allowed them not to die up until now. I do not believe the 5th is dead. Recall:
Anders is saved at the last minute by Cap 6 and Boomer from D’Anna and let go.
Tigh is not killed despite punishment on New Caprica and let go eventually. I think this is who D’Anna apologizies to at the temple
Tori – cannot recall anything just yet but…. another point is cylon attraction to others or things like
Chief – his attraction to Boomer and vise versa and it was definilty his programming that made him “dream” he was a cylon and attracted attention from the Cavil models. As well recall his attraction to the temple for no “good” reason. It was his temple and likely no one else on the planet in the area is a final 5.
I think the final 5 has to be a known at least semi-regular character. You have to wonder it would have to be someone really big , else , why not reveal Tigh last as teh final five (in terms of significant characters). I have made my prediction based on tha fact the final 5 is controlling everything and is someone who cares for both the human and cyclon sides. Also there was a death scene that triggered it for me when Natalie died and reached out to I believ the hand of the final five – Doc Cottle.

I don’t think the Earth they visited is in the time period they are meant to settle in.
Of all the artifacts that have helped them find Earth, they were all at least 3000 years old. The arrow Starbuck went after, the Tomb of Athena, the piece of space junk with Cylon plague and the temple on the algae planet were all build thousands of years ago. Why would the beacon that guided the fleet be any different?
If Starbuck went into a wormhole, nothing says that the time she came out would be the same as the other people in the fleet.
I thick she came out to Earth maybe a few thousand years ago. But the surviving members of the fleet had already been there for a while, made photos of the Earth, built a viper out of spare parts and sent her on her way. Just like the Cylons will build all these temples on the algae planet and Cobol. Who else would lead them to Earth otherwise? The 12 Cylons then will go into the wormhole (maybe the red spot on Jupiter?) to fulfill their part of the cycle.
In the tomb of Athena, an image of Earth was projected. If those people had never been to Earth, how do the know its there and what it looks like? Earth must the first home of the Cylons/Gods of Cobol.
The Colonials will end up on the Earth in our history. There knowledge (or programming) will help us built and enslave the first Cylons, the first Cylons will kill humanity in a nuclear war and leave the Earth. The Twelve Cylons will lead that group to Cobol in the past. That makes all Colonials second generation Cylons and the creature we’ve called Cylons third generation. And in that way they can complete this cycle thats been hinted at.

-It is pretty much a fact now that Xyience has a sponsor monopoly over the UFC. After the incident with Matt Lindland, Punishment Athletics, and Diego Sanchez’s post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, it’s obvious that fighter sponsorship is under a very strict regulation in the UFC. Just watch any of the recent UFC events over the past 3 years and you see the progression of controll over sponsoership that Xyience has sprawled across. Nowadays those are the only commercials you see. It’s in the center of the Octagons on occasions, and that’s the only thing coming out of fighter’s mouths.
