BSGcast: LIVE in Las Vegas
It’s been 12 months since the finale of Season 3 kicked our collective cubits, and now we’ve got an airdate of April 4 for the premiere of the final season.
Matt + Nat from the “BSGcast” show and Ryan from the popular “Battlestar Prometheus” fan-fic series have managed to not only snag a Las Vegas Casino to host a weekend-long premiere event, but also have some real live Battlestar Galactica alumni in attendance: the incomparable Richard Hatch is looking forward to joining us as well as Kevin Grazier, the Science Advisor for Battlestar Galactica, and the always lovely Luciana ‘Kat’ Carro!
If that’s not enough, Matt + Nat will be shooting a LIVE BSGcast starring… YOU! We’ll have an interactive BSGcast the likes of which Sci-Fi fandom has never seen.
This event has really just gotten bigger and bigger thanks to other BSG fans, but it can only get so big… just to make sure there’s room for you, make sure you hop over to Facebook to add yourself to the Event while there’s still room!
When you get to the Golden Nugget, you’ll be looking for "The Grand" ballroom on the first floor; the section with the theatre-style set-up is easy to find… it has all of us in it!
If you’ve paid for accomodations at the Golden Nugget by using this page, all you have to do is say that you’re on the Battlestar Galactca rooming list and they’ll know you’ve been paid for. You’ll need to leave a credit card number for incidentals, in case you go rock-star on the room and throw the bed out the window… or , you know, you want to buy internet access.

Ryan, Matt + Nat are shelling out some serious credits to rent the hall, hook up the A/V, and buy the food at the Nugget, so we’re asking for $30 from everyone to cover the cost. At $25 a head, we need around a hundred people to be there to break even. If we ge a few more people, we’ll be donating it to the charity of our BSG Guests’ choice. And if we get fewer people, well, Ryan and Matt + Nat just threw one hell of a party

Hey Sam,
Right now Richard Hatch is on board, he loves the idea of this event, so he’s talking to other members of the cast. We’re throwing around names like Tahmoh Penikett and Aaron Douglas, since we have connections to them as well, but we’re not as sure about them yet. Luciana Caro has also expressed some interest, but we’re not sure schedules will work. Here’s hoping, though, we’ve got two months yet to make it all happen!

Shooting schedule for season 4.5 begins March 24, so it is impossible to determine which actors will be present. But we are working on a surprise… Stay tuned! So say we all.

Actually, no, the part of the hotel we’ve got for the event is 100% all ages. So if you’re under 21, all the usual rules apply elsewhere in Vegas, but at this Frak-party you are a real person. You just can’t drink or gamble

heya guyz.so wish i could go to the Psrty but living n the UK dosen’t help much. I may only be 14 but i got a lot of dough. after transfering the cost i could afford it but i wouldn’t be able to get my new laptop for another 3 months so i can play BSG fleet commander. I just found out about BSGcast about two weeks ago, and I’m so disappointed that I did not know of it sooner, or I would have started watching the casts much much earlier. Anyways, better late than never. I’ve enjoyed every cast so far, and my compliments to Matt and Nat on running a great show here, and great looking set too!
I so wish I could attend the Frak Party, but I just cant travel to Las Vegas during that period. Though I hope that there will be future get togethers hosted by BSGcast that I would try to attend
I’m a HUGE BSG fan, and I’ve founder of two websites that are dedicated to a Battlestar Galactica fan-made game where you fly vipers and raiders.
Btw, have you considered having your own forums where you can discuss BSGcast related stuff? I notice the interaction goes on mainly through these comments and through myspace and facebook, but I believe a forum would really be something that BSGcast fans would appreciate to be able to interact with you folk.
If you wish, I can offer to host a forum for BSGcast as part of BSG Pilots (the game-related BSG website I run) or I can even create a forum specifically dedicated to BSGcast and seperate from BSG Pilots. Seeing how the BSGcasts are all revolved around analyzing the BSG episodes and getting discussions going, what better medium to do so than an online message board?
Anyways, I’m so glad I found you guys. Keep up the great work and Matt and Nat, just email me if you wish to talk more about the forum offer.

Matt + Nat, that’s fantastic news! I’m so happy you invited her to this event. I’m half a globe too far away from the Nugget, but having met Luciana myself (twice), there’s no doubt the fans will have a blast. Gosh, some of our party photos from her European conventions are so crazy…
Anyway, will she be there one, two or even three days? Which activities will she participate in? And the proceeds that are to be donated to charity – do you mean her fee, her autograph revenues, or will she auction anyting off? Oh, and do you know the name of the Vancouver animal charity?

What a great event! Sheila and I had a truly great time last night! What fun it is to be in a room filled with like-minded BSG fans anxiously awaiting the premier of our beloved show. The energy was fantastic!
To those who made the hop over to the Cavalier for the After Party, Thank You so much! I hope you all enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the opportunity to wind down after what was a long day for practically everybody.
