It’s astounding what this show has accomplished culturally. I'm part of the generation who watched Star trek on a black and white TV. Moorse law can be seen in the quality of writing and acting. But it doesn't stop there, this simple story has ballooned and woven itself into the Internet storm.

I can't believe you still have to be convinced about Ellen being the last of the five. You see her face transposed with Caprica Six back when Saul was "interrogating" her in the brig. At the time we're all thinking, okay is this now going to be "head Ellen" like "head Six" and "head Baltar," or that maybe Tigh has a screw loose.

But think about this...

Could it be that maybe, **just**maybe** as one of the final five he has a little more intuition, and can recognize Ellen's consciousness that's somehow made it into Caprica Six instead of the resurection ship? That's quite a leap for a normal skin-job cylon to make, but the final five are supposed to be a bit "more equal" than the others. Add to that what Ellend said to Saul back on "Cylon Earth" when she was dying, that they'd be together again. She may have meant more than just the incarnation we saw through the first few seasons. She may have meant on a more permanent basis.

I saw Mr. Hogan at Dragon*Con and he seemed to be having a good time - it's nice to know it wasn't just acting! He seemed to truly enjoy the attention and being with the fans - he told me, regarding being there at the con - "It's a gift!" It was a very sweet thing to say. Great interview, thanks!

I love Hogan! The man is one of the funniest guys I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. This is a great interview and it's nice to a genre actor embracing his fans the way he does.

A little something for the Canadian frakkers:

(sung to the tune of O Canada!)

O Galactica!
Our home and native land.
'So say we all' with all they X.O.'s command.
The glowing spines, the battle lines
Adama leads his crew!
From aft to stern, O Galactica,
with all that we've been through.
Gods keep our ship free from Cylon reign.
O Galactica, we pledge by death or pain!
O Galactica, we pledge by death or pain!

The BSG reboot has been some of the best SF-viewing I've enjoyed since ST:TNG. Michael Hogan sounds like he had a lot of fun attending DragonCon, as well as making the show. As a fan who loves going to conventions, it's always nice to hear how actors perceive the Con-going fans. There's the practiced, "safe" answers, and then there's ones like Michael's where he gets to see how much the "common man" enjoys his work, and sometimes are inspired by the work being presented (such as the artwork & costumes he saw). I hope to see him at a future DragonCon, and wish him continued success in his post-BSG career.
