My predictions:
Boomer will turn against Cavil, reunite with Tyrel.
Gaeta and Baltar will try to redeem themselves together.
Starbuck will become (is already) a Being of Light.
There are humans on Earth.

I still have no definitive answer as to the final cylon is. Roslin makes the most sense, as she mistrusts them so much – it would be the ultimate in irony and dramatic possibilities that it is her.
Anyway, more important than who, I want people’s speculations on what the final cylon will do, what role this person will play, what ’special powers’ she/he will have in terms of stopping invasion, influencing people, turning the course of events. What is this person’s purpose/destiny? To make peace?
The final four haven’t done a lot in terms of storyline. The guys are still doing their jobs on Galactica and Tory is hanging out (probably having a LOT of nookie heh heh) on the basestar. They helped find Earth (Sam and Tyrel) and stopped a conflict (Tighe), and look poised to remember some things, but their purpose/destiny is yet to be revealed as well.

OK first the websodes since that is what this is all about. I was impressed with the whole set even though I thought it was a bit predictable. I feel it is giving more credence to my theory that Gaeta is the final Cylon. Just think of the torment he is going through now. I think that Sharon knew he is the FC and that is why she killed everyone and set up Gaeta to kill her as well so he could survive. That’s it plane and simple for me on this. I can’t wait to see them all on the big TV this week.
Now as for the DVD’s. I watched all the deleted scenes and what not and I think it is funny how RDM is trying to give us all a good mind frack with different guesses on the FC. He left hints to tons of people who could be it. One thing I caught in a deleted scene that really hit me was when head 6 just vannashed. It was just like Count Iblis and John from TOS. Hence another bit of proof that RDM is putting a beings of light spin on things.

@Signa Jade: Ever since “Razor”, I have felt quite strongly (and so has Matt, I believe) that Kendra Shaw could and should be the FC. But everytime I start thinking again along those lines, I’m reminded almost everywhere (especially on message boards and such) that the FC has been in the series, according to an RDM quote, “since the beginning”. So given that bit of info, I can no longer see the probability of Kendra Shaw being the FC.

And I’m more than certain that the writers took into account all of our hunches and suspicions, and yet in a recent interview with Eick and RDM, they still seem fairly confident that none of us has even come CLOSE to truly guessing the identity of the FC.

Pish tosh. My gut tells me that it will be someone we all “figured out”, but the surprise or “shock” will be in HOW it will all become relevant. If nothing else, they have truly succeeded in making our tension and suspense extremely palpable.

Well… this is where it gets funny. There’s a deleted scene I saw a while back where Head Six leaves Baltar for good. She implies that now he can go on his own, and that he doesn’t need her to lead him any longer. She also implies there will be other angels helping him along the way, then vanishes (sad scene, it’s too bad it never made it into the show).

Mind you, it IS a deleted scene, and I have a feeling they didn’t bring it into the show because they suddenly had another plan for Head Six. Still, she’s been nowhere to be found for episodes, and most of us already figured out it was because Baltar had achieved that spiritual clearance with God and that Head Six was therefore not needed any longer.

So following this… how does she fit in all this? How does she fit in the last supper now that her role is supposedly “fulfilled”? Somehow, it almost feels as though her role in the last season was nearly…. meaningless. It’s as though she just wasn’t an important character any longer. Through three seasons they made her one of the most important character in the series, and then “*POOF!* You know what, we don’t need you anymore”. I find it leaves a bad aftertaste in my mouth, you know? I’m hoping against all odds that she’s not quite gone, because I still want another answer then “I’m an angel sent from God”. There’s GOT to be something more, something none of us thought of and will blow our minds.

Sorry, I’m just mindlessly dropping some ideas lol. Maybe it’ll help someone create more theories? lol

On another note, your analogy on aging machines and humans does make a lot of sense.
