This is GREAT stuff! Thank you!!!! Thank you!!!
It’s great to hear background insider stories and perspective.
The meaning of BSG for me is different from Katee. For me, it’s about are we worthwhile of existence…that’s an awkward way of saying should we exist, or are we so scummy on the whole, so incapable of working together, so frail morally and otherwise, that we don’t deserve to be here….
That’s pretty dark, but that’s what it’s about for me. And I think that’s what the wrap up of the series will be about.

Awesome guys, you are amazing.
And yes, the meaning of the show for me as well differs from katee’s.
I’ve always seen it as like, kinda what Cavil said to the chief “The truth of it is, you might do something horrible, but not because you’re a cylon, but because you’re a human, and humans do horrible things all the time…you need to look towards your family [and friends] for the salvation you’ve been seeking from the gods”
For me, its all about that, people are messed up, our entire existence is a complicated mess of evil actions and good actions interconnected in a society that vibrates with conflict, throbbing with unrest and struggle. However in every place on earth, in every society and culture, and in every heart, there lies the truth that love and hope (that comes from the relationships we forge in our life) are worth dying for, and more importantly, worth living for (ha ha ha, Helo from “Scar”).
So yes, yaay! Katee is hawt too, and her sense of humour is awesome

Tootie: Yes, I think partly it’s about humans asking themselves if they deserve to survive, as Adama said. The Cylons originally thought humans did not deserve to survive. but I think there is another question, that actually gives and answer to the Cylons: “DOES ANYONE HAVE THE RIGHT TO DECIDE IF SOMEONE ELSE DESERVES TO SURVIVE?” That’s what I think the Cylons need to learn, and that’s what humans need to learn, too. A few people have learned it, Caprica Six has realized it in “Downloaded”, Helo has realized, and judging by the outcome of the trial in “Crossroads pt2″, maybe, just maybe other people have started to understand it…

there was some problem with the sound track of this post. it seems like something went wrong whenever Katee said “fuck”.
really, are you afraid you’ll be censored by parental control software or something? what’s the deal?
