CapriCast: Toronto Comic Con Panel

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

On the eve of the first mid-season finale of Caprica, actresses Luciana Carro and Magda Apanowicz paid Toronto Comic Con a visit and treated us to a panel that gave us some insight into their experience making the show, and dropped some hints about what we can expect from the back-9 episodes of the season!

And remember: leave a comment with your best guess at what the rest of season one has in store for us for your chance to win the Caprica Soundtrack!

CapriCast 1.07 – The Imperfections of Memory

Friday, March 12th, 2010

Amanda sees Head-Darius? Her old saying “All of this has happened before, and all of it will happen again”? Plus, Daniel finally suspects Zoe survived in U-87 and Joe gets into New Crap City! And what the frak was with that close-up on the graffiti?

Get your voting fingers ready, this episode of Capricast also features our two favourite submissions for our new show intro! Team Izzy and Team Chuck Norris made such awesome contributions, we couldn’t decide on our own. Nor should we. Capricast is for you as much as it is for us, so it’s only right that you get to have your say on how we start it off each week!

Voting will last midnight on Monday March 22nd in your timezone. How do we know your timezone? Magic.

CapriCast 1.06 – Know Thy Enemy

Friday, March 5th, 2010

The sins of the Caprica pilot seem to be catching up with Daniel as his industrial nemesis from Vergis corporation brings Adama’s theft and murder down on Graystone Industries. If that wasn’t enough, Spike himself, James Marsters, makes his debut on the series with this episode, and it’s anyone guess what direction that could take!

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

We were fortunate enough to catch up with Mary McDonnell one week before her appearance at DragonCon, while she was in Toronto for Fan Expo! Nat had the chance to sit down with her, on set, and chat about her thoughts on Battlestar’s Finale, Laura’s fate, Roslin Tattoos and even Caprica!

And of course, we have a shiny new Season 4.5 DVD Box-Set signed by Mary to give away to our favourite comment on the Season 4.5 review… so make your comments quick! We’ll be posting our review this week, and that’s where we’ll announce the winner!

BSGcast: The Plan

Sunday, November 1st, 2009

Jane Espenson and Edward James Olmos were the people in charge on this one: Olmos was there for every episode that went into making The Plan happen in Season 2, and Jane was there for none of them and it shows. Amazing direction, performances, visuals compliment a story that fires on all cylinders for 30 minutes and then lumbers through the rest of the first two seasons with about as much grace as a Cylon Colony.

But goddam, Dean Stockwell was delicious as F-Cavil and C-Cavil on their respective journeys and those Colonies got it good!

Make sure to leave a comment and tell us what YOU thought of The Plan, and don’t forget to enter to win “Dinner with the Admiral” compliments of Edward James Olmos and UGO!
