So, we were planning to cram a Season 3 DVD Review in to this one, but it was running long, so today we’ll be bring you some info on the newly green-lit BSG spin-off Caprica, a bit about the BSG appearance on Letterman, and an update on the April 4-5 Frak Party in Las Vegas and LIVE BSGcast!

So… many of you probably know about the writer’s strike going on right now, murdering the first (and possibly most important) step in a good tv show or movie. This is hurting a lot of good shows more than it is movies at the moment, since movies have a lot more lead-time before rolling camera… you can tell by shows like Heroes ending early, which is either a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it.
The bottom line is that any scripts that are already written are still OK to shoot, but no new scripts are coming. The once rumoured prequel spin-off series to Battlestar Galactica, called “Caprica”, was put on hold indefinitely last year when NBC/Sci-Fi wasn’t happy with the script they had…
Well, with this strike stopping new scripts from being written, desperate times are upon the producers in Hollywood, and it looks like they’re taking a second look and digging up the “Caprica” project’s pilot script!
Yes boys and girls, that means our precious BSG-verse may not be coming to an end after the next 10-episodes, afterall! We’ll keep you in the loop if we dig up anything more!

Guess what?? We just read the press release: BSG Third season is out March 25! They couldn’t have waited much longer, that’s just over a week before the 4th Season premiere. It actually makes me yearn for being able to buy Season 2.0 and 2.5 separately last time! Ah well, maybe we’ll get a nice surprise with the extra features… I hear there’s an extended version of “Unfinished Business”… extended by 25 whole minutes!

Wow, guys, this is a suprise bit of news… apparently two minutes of “never-before-seen Battlestar Galactica footage” is going to be aired on Friday during “Flash Gordon”… some kind of “Razor Flashback” mini-episode series is going to be on every Friday along with this new show between now and November 24, when the movie plays.

This is what Scifi.com has to say for itself:

“Written by Michael Taylor and directed by Wayne Rose and Felix Alcala, these intense, roughly two-minute segments tell the story of young William “Husker” Adama’s rookie Viper mission during the first Cylon war. In addition to fighting for his very survival against relentless Cylon centurions, Adama makes a terrifying discovery that will come back 40 years later to threaten him, the crew of the Pegasus and the survival of the human race.”

And so, evidently this is not preview footage, or a sneak peek of “Razor”, this is the same kind of min-episode stuff we had going on with the “Resistance” videos between episodes 2 and 3. Interesting, especially considering there was word that people didn’t get paid or credited properly for work on “web-only” video, this seems to be a way to skirt that issue and get it on TV. Good thinking and NEW BSGoodness!

Sorry about the delay on the Tricia Helfer I&I… but we’ve been SWAMPED with work from all sides… Matt’s movie, Six Reasons Why has been picking up crazy amounts of steam, and Nat’s Greek videoBlog, YourGreekNews.com, is being turned into an actual TV show/station… since there’s only the two of us, we’re spread a bit thin. BUT don’t worry, once we’re a bit more in control of our time, we’ll be have it up here!

Ok, so we had a booth at the Fan Expo this year, and it was a pretty huge event. And we’ve got to say thanks to Tootie for swinging by the booth and chatting some serious BSG! Hopefully she’s loving the BSGcast.com thong. Oh yes, we made those special for the event. All we can say is: “Do Your Job”, Tootie

Nat got an exclusive with Greg Pak, the writer behind the Battlestar Galactica comics, and, of course, with Tricia Helfer there, we made sure to get some info out of her about Season 4 and Razor during her Intimate & Interactive session!
