Part 2 in our three part Q&A with Aaron and Eddie from Fan Expo 2008 in Toronto… it was an hour session, so be prepared for a SUPER-long Part 3 next week!
Great response to those Save Baltar T’s, by the way!

So…other than “this has all happened before and will again,” and all it entails for the shows direction, the other underlying main plot point for me has been Adama.
This show has really explored what happens to a great and powerful man that has a sense and reality of continuous loss. From the moment he joined the first Cylon War to the present moment in his life, the man has lost someone or something. The constant barrage has finally started to take it’s toll on him in many ways. He has lost his son, his wife, countless friends and crew and even entire planets. He has struggled with seeing horrific visions such as the original Hybrid lab in Razor. He has had to endure the revelation that his best and oldest friends and confidants are Cylons…and he has to go forward knowing that the woman he loves has fewer days ahead than she has behind her.
So you see, this show has it’s main point of Cylons and Humans co-existing and starting over but for Adama it has been about pure unbridled loss. How much can one man take? I think we saw the breaking point when Saul confessed his true identity. I forgot I was watching a TV show and genuinely felt terrible for Adama when he hit rock bottom. EJO truly showed his mettle in that episode. I will miss that character more than any when this show ends…

Fantastic stuff! I love that we get some inside info on what goes on behind-the-scenes. Hilarious. It’s still interesting to hear how much Michael Hogan despises the fact that he’s a Cylon. I’m sure much of that anger was easily emoted into his performance. Great stuff. And wow, I’m still so totally STOKED that we get another movie that will give us more backstories on certain characters. I’m sure many if not all of us will be glad that we’ll have more to feed off of, especially if the whole point is to explain some things and to give us more character development. Awesome.
Thanks again, Matt & Nat! Can’t wait for Part 3!

Thanks a bunch for posting this clips. I’m anxiously awaiting Part 3. I love what you’re doing, although I have a small criticism – you guys (especially Nat) need to slow down your delivery. I know it’s exciting stuff and you’re eager people, but 300 words per minute (and accidentally talking over your co-host) makes everything seem a little too caffeinated and jumpy. You’ll come across far better if you pace the delivery.
Also, don’t be afraid to bring the camera in a bit closer. I’m guessing that you guys don’t have a third person to shoot your stuff, but the viewer doesn’t have to know that. You can shoot part of your intro segment with both of you in the frame, cut away to video, and then cut back to a close-up of one of you. This works really well if you move the camera to another location for a slightly different angle to the right or left – it seems like you’re doing a multi-cam shoot that way.

So the Toronto International Film Festival has been monopolizing our time in the last few days, but as soon as it wraps up we’ll be posting the SUPER ENORMOUS part 3 of Eddie and Aaron here on BSGcast.com. We’ll have to cut it down to 10-mins on YouTube and Revver and those places, but if you watch on here, or subscribe to the iTunes feed, you’ll get the whopper!

PS. Thanks for the advice, James, we are always of two minds when it comes to the close-up of just one of us… we’ve done it before but it feels so lonely

Hey there Matt & Nat,
Last night, I was watching (for the nth time) your BSG Cast about the Hybrid’s prophecy, and I was wondering now that there is only a half season left, what is your take, in retrospect, on the Hybrid’s prophecy?

Guys, you gotta be patient! This week was Matt’s promotional tour in Vegas for his movie “Six Reasons Why.” If you’re that jazzed to see the whole thing I’m sure it was covered on youtube or something. In the meantime, be happy for Matt and his brother Jeff! This is a HUGE week for them!

Thanks for the plug, Adam
And thank you for the kind words, Kirsty. I hope you like the movie!
I just thought I’d chime in about Bacchus Magnus’ question regarding the Hybrid… I think we’ve seen every element of that prophecy come to pass entirely as of now, we just don’t know who it was that was suffering AND is the fifth cylon… since there sure was a lot of suffering in the first part of Season 4. So we’re really in uncharted waters and what’s next is anybody’s guess.
Part 3 of Eddie and Aaron’s Q&A is up now! I hope we made it before Paul bled out entirely…
