Hmm I subscribe to BSGCast on YouTube and I haven’t seen the 10 minute version yet. Maybe there’s a lag or something. Can’t wait to see the full thing on this site.
Is there any word on the exact date of the BSG movie this year?

The BSG TV Movie just started filming two weeks ago. It will not air until after the series finale in the spring. Should be worth the wait though.

Thanks for posting this. Great stuff! Hey Matt, you should TOTALLY eat a dog sh*t, burnt hair, garlicky, super smelly sardine sandwich one day to surprise Nat during one of your segments. I’d love to see her reaction to that! LOL! J/k! But that was some funny stuff that EJO talked about. I now have to go back and watch that particular ep and watch Aaron Douglas’s expression. Classic. Adam – Thanks for that! Wasn’t there supposed to be something before then? Maybe I’m confused, it might be the Caprica Series that’s coming out in November, then BSG Finale in January, then the BSG Movie??? I think… I’m totally jonesing for more BSG

That is the plan Kirsty. Caprica hasn’t been picked up officially by SciFi yet, however I believe it will be. The pilot, which is sort of stand alone at this minute, is finished and will more than likely be aired in December. They will more than likely wait to see if the series is picked up before they air it so that they can minimize the gap between pilot and series premiere. The TV Movie at this point is set to air shortly after the series finale to capitalize on that momentum. I find it so gratifying when I get to se inside info like this. I can’t say enough about how classy and down to Earth EJO is. Both professionally and in his personal life. His convictions as an actor and as a human being are on the record for the world to see. It’s such a frakking shame that Hollywood treats the Sci Fi genre as the orphan of entertainment. Some of the most brilliant acting has happened in Sci Fi and it goes unnoticed. Both EJO and Mary McD both deserved Emmys this year and got the shaft. Either way Matt and Nat thanks for posting your coverage of this.

On battlestarprops.com they show the CIC set being taken down. All the set pieces are being auctioned off. Apparently you can even buy the Blackbird, vipers and a cylon raider. I wonder how much those will go for – a raider would look great in my backyard. They also have lots of little props, signs, artwork and papers used onscreen for BSG. Guess it means BSG is really over and they have no intention of using any of the items again.
Since there is no more CIC and shooting for the new movie just started I wonder if you’ll see galactica at all.

According to the British Columbia Film Commission (bcfilmcommission.com) the BSG Movie, which now has a working title of “The Plan”, was scheduled to be shot from Sept. 2-29. So it’s highly possible at this point that the Galactica shoots are finished and they can dismantle the CIC (R.I.P.).
Interesting title…The Plan. We’ve heard from day one that the Cylons “have a plan” now we finally get to see what that plan is in actuality! I hope they keep that title.

Great info. Interesting title. I guess we could see Galactica then. I figured since it was about the final five, the only thing we have not already seen in the series about them would be their lives before Galactica. Maybe how they relate to the other models and how they lost their memories of being cylons. Galactica might be shown when Saul and Tyrol get assigned there.
Since Razor had lots of special effects shots of the First cylon war I’m hoping the cool special effects for this movie will be when we see the cylon homeworld, which I’ve been dying to see.
Yeah, we finally find out what the darn “Plan” is.

Just a bit of warning… Aaron apparently didn’t watch the final episode and thinks the first half ended on the next episode… and gave away a major spoiler that I wish I had not read. So, if you see an article somewhere about his radio interview… AVOID IT. He gives away a massive secret.

Yeah, it is a pretty big spoiler. He actually said more in another interview. So, just avoid anything he has to say from now until the season starts again.
It is pretty interesting stuff. It does create more questions… but I wish I had not read it. Though, I was 100% right in my analysis of what the Final Five are, so it makes me feel like a genius.

too late. I hope it is a misleading spoiler. I only read two sentences but one of them may have ruined the suprise for next season. I should have come here before syfyportal. THat’s the bad thing about spoilers, you want to know them but then wish you hadn’t when you realize it just robbed you of a great reveal. Maybe I’ll forget between now and the start of season 4.5. Don’t worry, it’s a long time until next season and I’m sure someone here will mention it in a post and ruin for the rest of you.

Man I wouldn’t want to be AD when RDM has a “little” talk with him about this. From what I hear all cast have a non disclosure clause in their contract…this may cost him professionally AND monetarily if true…OY!

It’s great that someone filmed this–it was the best Q&A I went to at FanExpo.
That was my question about Cally that Aaron answered! I asked him whether the writers or producers had given him any direction on how he was supposed to see Cally at the end of season 2 compared to the beginning of season 4…how he went from seeming like he was in love with her to saying she smelled like cabbage. Later, at his signing, I talked to Aaron some more about it, and he said he felt that Tyrol always loved Boomer, and Cally just sort of fell into his lap and he went with it…we had a decent discussion about it, because I felt like there must have been some romantic feeling between them, but Aaron said he never felt that.
Just some extra info for anyone who’s curious.

From the sounds of it, I do agree Aaron is going to suffer big for this mistake. It may end his career, in fact.
I was at FanExpo and got my pic taken (prof. photographer all included in the fee) with EJO. I was directed at my turn to go over and he shook my hand and asked my name and then I stood next to him for the pic and he says “Now put your arm around me and cosy up to me like you like me,” and I blurted “I DO LIKE YOU!” and we both laughed and laughed. It’s a great shot of a great moment that I will always treasure.
Got my pic taken with Aaron too. He’s a hounddog scoping for dates if you want my opinion (his wife died quite some time ago) and a little bit of a ham, but overall, just a regular guy really jazzed to be on BSG and hanging out with all the cool big actors.
Will not be reading anything anywhere except here – Matt and Nat PLEASE check posts for spoilers ’cause people don’t always indicate!

I’m glad we managed to get the answer to your question into the Q&A video, Tiff! Great question to ask!
But Yeah, Aaron and Olmos were both fantastic at FanExpo. It was a real treat to meet them and hear them speak! Nat got to spend some time with Aaron and chat actually… she said he seemed like a really nice guy. Although, if Aaron’s on the prowl, then that explains why getting him to sit down to chat with Nat for 10 minutes was so easy

anyone notice Zak Adama is listed in imdb for the last 3 episodes of season 4? not that this means anything because they could be flashback episodes for all we know but it’s still interesting.

I doubt this will harm Aaron’s career too much, but it will certainly put him in the shizznit house with RDM, if true. I hope it is a disinformation campaign (though, I do like the spoiler information, so maybe I hope it is real because it is pretty awesome).
And Adam… your friend… come on! My friends and I all know to FIRST ask if someone has or has not heard something before blurting things out. It may be time for a new best friend. I would volunteer, but I have too many friends as it is.

Congratulations to everyone who won in the first 10 episodes, and to Adalla for winning the Ozma-7 headphones! You guys are all insightful, and very fun to watch this show with! It was great to get to give particular mention and we’re happy that Alienware was kind enough to provide a token of our appreciation to ten of you in 2008, and we’re looking forward to 10 more in 2009…
Oh yeah, and giving away an Alienware computer to one of the 20 winners we’ll have from season four should be pretty out of this world, too!
What are your thoughts on a back-10 kick-off party? West coast again? Or East this time? Up North? Or in the Southern states? Nat and I will bea bit partial to going somewhere warm in the midst of our Canadian winter!

wanted to thank you again for the shirt and headphones. I really did enjoy all the post-ep discussions here on BSGcast in Season 4. Cant wait till S4.5!
As for the Season 4.5 Finale Frakparty…I am ALL FOR IT. I really wanted to go to the Vegas one, and I am going to try my best to be at the S4.5 frak party. I really hope to meet some cast and crew also.
Might I offer a forum dedicated to the planning of the frak party at BSG Pilots?
I think it would help the planning process and help communication better.

About the location, I would like the location that will facilitate the greatest number of cast and crew members to join from BSG.
Also, if we are planning it at the same time as the official finale parties, or close to those dates, we should choose the location where the cast and crew will be so they might attend and we might meet them
Whether it is LA, Vancouver, NY or wherever it’s gonna be.
