BSGcast: Interview with Michael Trucco

In keeping with our apparent theme of beloved characters who die in the back-10 of the final season, Nat had the chance to chat with Michael Trucco, the actor behind Samuel T. Anders, the resistance-fighter-turned-cylon (or would he really be the cylon-turned-resistance-fighter?). He tells us his thoughts on the finale, working with Katee, playing injured in a tub of goo, and what’s next for him in his acting career.

Great interview Nat! Trucco was definitely my favorite on the show after James Callis. I’m still a little bummed he wasn’t tapped to play Hal Jordan, he’s perfect for it.

Wonderful interview. Captured the humour of Trucco well. His Troops love him for it. :)

Another great interview! I hope there’s more interviews to come. Keep it up! :D

If there is any character that needs their own BSG movie it’s Anders. I wouldn’t mind a whole bsg movie about Anders and how the pyramid team survived on Caprica. Lots of action and no need for the long, gone Galactica sets. I’d settle for a final five movie about the destruction of “real earth” I’m a sucker for apocalypse movies so they can make movie about the destruction of Kobol after that.

Someday I hope to get my son, who is named Anders after the BSG character, a picture with Michael at one of the conventions. Anders and Anders. Hopefully he’ll make it to Texas in the not to distant future.

Matt and Nat – good job as always. Since you’re only interviewing dead characters from season four – who is left? Callie, Racetrack, Skulls…. I can’t think of any more right now.

Woo! Speaking of chemistry… That was great Nat. Must have been a blast. I think I would have giggled for a week.

  6. BSGcast Says:

Don’t worry, Pavlov’s God, there’s an Anders-centric BSG movie coming out next week… The Plan is HUGELY centered on him and his c-bucks!

  8. Mr.NiceGaius Says:

I LOVED the Plan. LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED it.

It’s the most cinematic of all the episodes… yet, if one hasn’t seen the series and enjoyed it, they won’t get any of it. It was truly made for the fans. The arcs explained/created were astounding.

Also: the closing credits’ music was AMAZING. A different take (I won’t say more) and it punches you in the gut.

The first 10 minutes of the movie made me go, “Oh my GOD. This is BEYOND bad-ass!” You’ll know when you see it…

However, within CBS, Josh Howard spoke at length on the telephone with typewriter expert Peter Tytell. ,

  10. Pavlov's god Says:

How did you guys see it already? Tuesday can’t come soon enough. I better get crackin’ on finishing off the series on blue ray. Almost to the end of season 3.

  11. Mr.NiceGaius Says:

    Get crackin’, Pavlov. Get crackin’.

Matt/Nat — even though you still have not done you review of the BSG set, I would love to hear your take on The Plan. I can’t get the freakin’ movie out of my head! It’s so damn good!
